I thought scissors were more likely than stitch rippers to take the collars off the shirts. Plus, scissors can be used as makeshift screwdrivers to disassemble things
He's...a character. You'll understand when you meet him. He's got a room in the quiet carriage that's decked out for him to work in. It's a good spot to find him if he's not meeting with someone else.
For use on the missions I've heard of or for communication without using the train's systems? Ranges are going to vary widely, and there will be some details that cannot be worked out ahead of time, such as atmospheric interference.
Both. We don't have communicators to take with us on missions so are limited to the magic users' scant amount of objects and...some other odds and ends. But I like the idea of not relying on the train for everything as well. [He can be a bit paranoid. Especially after his time in Ryslig.]

Yeah, in his workshop, gathered over the time here. I can procure more items from the worlds when we go on missions, too. I've got communication devices taken from two different worlds now. If you're any good you can help Stark and the others make new communication devices.
Well ok, point. But why're you taking the collar off your shirt?
And why the hell don't you get a normal screwdriver?
[He shakes his head, not understanding the mentality of his fellow pilot, or his clear insanity, because he must be crazy to be making work for himself! Chill out, Trowa! Relax! There's plenty of time to ruin the place!]
