[ Audio + Brief Video ] Domino Day Eighteen
I know there's a lot of this going around lately, but I promise to try and make this quick.
There are people on board this train that are good with technology, right? Computers and things like that? Everyone knows the name Tony Stark--it's hard not to hear someone talking about him--or him talking about himself... So I'm going to ask where he is right now. If it's the Quiet Carriage, he won't hear this but maybe someone will let me know they saw him there recently.
But if anyone else is as good or better with tech than he is I'd like to know. I've got a few things to share. On one condition: make something useful with it.
[The feed switches off and then a video turns on in it's place a second later. No one is visible except for a black hand with sharp claws that holds what basically looks like a foreign cellphone in it's grasp. It's rotated slightly one way and then another before the video feed shuts off abruptly. An audio-only starts again.]
That's what you have to work with. We could use a better device than these things. [He does not miss Ryslig but gods does he miss the communicator devices from there.] For lots of reasons. [Someone is paranoid.] Any takers?

[So the world he comes from has similar technology like the one Tony and Peter come from? Good to know.]
The ICP's are useful only around the train. The SCA's, on the other hand, we take everywhere. So if I was trying to work with any of the train-provided technology, it would be those. They have more features that we're allowed to use but I have to find a way to unlock them first.
[You're right, don't.]

[Not quite but close enough! Garrett would explain...but probably not right this second.]
I wouldn't work with any tech from the train. That defeats the purpose. But something like that... yeah, we could use it.

You would have clothes fitted for you, wouldn't you?
[That's not actually a question. He says as if having one's garments tailored was the most obvious thing in the world. Everyone does it. That's why he's using it as an example.]
So is with this kind of equipment. It's a personal item.

I make my own. Unfortunately, this isn't something I can make.
It sounds less dubious when you put it that way I suppose. But...
[He just always got this bad feeling in his bones whenever magic or the supernatural was even mentioned around him. Made being a monster all the worse for him. Like something awful was always just around the corner...]
Never mind. It sounds like it would be very limited in use until you got more materials. It might be quicker for the others to get these phone things working for us instead. Probably better for you to keep those four you've got for people who matter.

[Or Curufin. Though Fëanor doesn't recommend his son for the task immediately.]
But if you'd lend me one of those for closer examination, I could be of help too.
[It can't possibly be that complicated. As much as he hates working with scraps, it won't be the first time.]

Either way. Where do you want it?

Garrett did not respond again for he was already headed out. He was quick and agile and it took him very little time to traverse the entirety of the train and less to only travel half of it. He was waiting in plain sight, though far from any meddlesome Prinnies and their master. His limbs were curled as inward as possible and his arms crossed over his chest as he stood in the rock garden with a bag at his feet.]

And he had to take a longer route to avoid the minions. They are a form of entertainment in itself and Fëanor considers them quite funny. Right he doesn't have time for that.
He nods to Garret noticing the bag at his feet.]
Quite a collection.

What was inside was about four different versions of the electronic devices found on the former world. Garrett bent down and retrieved them then stood up and held them out for Feanor.]
For starters, everyone gets a few models to work with. If you need more later down the line let me know. Eventually I want to gather enough for the whole train but it might take more than one world to do that.
[And he didn't know how each world would differ from one to the next so there was no telling how long it would take to gather enough or how easy it would be for the techies to work with differing product. But he had a sizeable stash elsewhere to convert once they figured something out.]
wrap?
A reasonable approach.
[He picks two that look most promising. Even if that meant he just took the two that seemed the most different from each other. They might not be as versatile as his creations and he hates to be forced to compromise. The fact remains, they need something quick. The faster the better actually.]
I'll get back to you with results. Soon, I hope.
looks good!
He lingered a few more seconds waiting to see if the elf wanted anything else from him before he left. It was probably for the best that no questions about specs were asked though since Garrett honestly didn't know much about them. Feanor would probably be able to figure it out better than he.
Then the thief slipped off quietly, not too good at conversation or goodbye, his job done for now.]
