Tribulation 2 [Video]
[ On the screen is Death Incarnate, cheeks taking on a faint golden blush. Thanatos looks like he'd rather be doing anything else besides making this post. Mort sits on his shoulder and eats a cookie in tiny bites. While an animate plush mouse, there is something smug about Mort's expression. He knows what he did, and he is proud of it. ]
The dining carriage is set with a number of baked goods. Please help yourself and don't let them go to waste. You can even take some to save for later.
[ After what happened in the Void earlier and the reunion of some from the platform, extra treats aren't so bad... Thanatos supposes. Mort had a good idea for boosting moral and reducing stress. Still, he wishes Mort had talked to him first before deciding to order a crate of baked goods costing 150 points....
Thanatos will be found in the dinning carriage writing in his notebook while Mort rides around on the mini-chariot Idia made him, eats snacks, and tries to make Thanatos eat some as well. ]

[ Mort stops controlling his chariot for a moment to scamper up onto a table and grab another small cookie. Then he climbs up Thanatos and pokes at his cheek with it. ]
You can have the cookie. I don't need one.
[ Poke poke poke. ]
Mort, you're too cute
Oh, also,] Oh, hey, [Idia rummaging around in the pocket of his hoodie a moment, producing a certain blue, skull-shaped candy, and holding it out towards Mort.] Here, have it as a trade. I got a bunch of them from the shop. [Letting out a bit of a low 'heehee' giggle, a bright, sharp smile backing it up.] They're my favorite candy from home, I finally managed to save up enough points to buy them.
[And to sell it even further,] It's blue pomegranate flavor.

Pomegranates are not blue.
[ That is the main question Thanatos has from all this. ]

Oh, I know, they just do it to have a blue colored candy. Like blue raspberry. Doesn't change the flavor, just colors your tongue blue. [And blue was clearly the best color.]

There are things that are already blue and have blue in the name. They're called blueberries.
[ Thanatos will never be part of a candy marketing department. He fails to see the point of changing one's tongue blue. It seems more unnerving to him as most try to prevent their body parts from turning blue. (From the eternal winter his world suffers.) ]

Blueberries are still good though. And blueberry candy is often colored blue. Though I'm guessing if you actually cook blueberries into candy it'd just be purple candy. [Ok... that's too cute, he has to get one last photo of Mort being adorable like that, a little wave to his computer, but not too close to distract Mort while he snaps a few pictures.]

However, instead, Thanatos realizes that he's not going to have the same relationships with mortals ever again, and it will make things harder for him. (He's listening too much to them.) Godly pride and stubbornness has him sticking to his point. He creates a purple butterfly, similar to the Pierced Butterfly, which flutters around him. ]
They are closer to blue than pomegranates. And this is purple. Which is not like a blueberry.
[ Gods, he hates words sometimes. Why does it have to be so complicated and wildly open to interpretation? ]

But he will also give the pomegranate thing to Thanatos,] I mean... yeah. [Though that's more of a 'duh' moment. But it's followed with a shake of Idia's head as Thanatos continues. Whatever, it's not worth pushing over.] Sure, whatever.
[Still...] Thanks for the snacks.

But he'll still take the strangely colored candy. Whether or not he'll try it or just save it for Mort is unknown. ]
You're welcome to take some for later. There's more than enough.

Maybe it's a death god thing.]Thanks. [Don't need to tell Idia twice, picking up a few other items to save for later. Then considering this... sure, Mort was the one that bought these all, but it was Thanatos' points. And Than has fed him in the past, all those toast sandwiches. Idia really hasn't done anything to repay him, has he? Not that he really considered doing so, but he also hasn't had anything he thought would work for it.
Let's face it, Thanatos isn't really the best with technology.
Hmm... Idia shifting the items to one arm as he shuffled through his pocket, producing a second skull lollipop and holding it out to Thanatos.] So you both have one.

[ Mort squeaks his thanks, already knowing that Thanatos is probably going to give him both of the candies. Thanatos is easy to read on things like that, and in the case of this, Mort doesn't mind.
He does disapprove of Thanatos not eating more of these baked goods, however. Mort bought them for him too! ]
