Rabbit 17; video [Memory share discussion!]
Hey.
[ There's none of Tidus's usual cheer as he speaks today, face showing on the screen of the ICP consoles, his call coming from the room he shares with Inigo. ]
I know some of us are still thinking about the people we've lost, but a bunch of us went through those caves to help the train find its memories. I figure now's as good time as any we talk about what we saw so we can get it down and make sense of it. What did the rest of you see?
[ OOC: Feel free to share and talk amongst one another, threadjack, etc! This is an open call. ]

[ At some point. ]
They were by the engine wall. One of them had a flute, and these markings up her arms... [ He mimics what he means, hands moving up his forearms. ] And she had this flute. She was about to play it, but I didn't see what happened next.

[He thinks for a moment about anything else important.]
Some Red members were there too, but they looked upset.

I think I saw Xe with a group in orange. She had silver web markings on her arms. She said she was the only one left, and they, or maybe just the man, wanted her to do something that was against the rules. She didn't want to go back or retreat to where they've already been. Not even for a catastrophe. She was adamant on that.

I also know their names were Kiel and Vian. Seemed like they wanted to save everyone, but there talked implied they might not be able to do that.

I think we saw different parts of that same memory. Maybe?
[ Inigo isn't entirely sure it were the same two people, but Vian was definitely there, and the topic is the same, so-- ]
They wanted to save the people from the same place as someone named Xe. And if you saw them talking about how there weren't enough tethering stations-- they said they instead wanted to try and tether those people directly to them, rather than using the stations, even though it was dangerous.

[ He means small spaceships fighting large robots around a space station. He's from Briar Valley. He's doing his best. ]
The Red Team prepared to leave, but they didn't know if others would believe them. I didn't see or hear what they were trying to get others to believe. Or who they were going to warn.

What I saw - that Xe girl said something about Red Team only thinking with their fists. A name came up... [ He looks down, where he jotted a vaguely helpful line about the memory. ] Keel? Keely? Something like that.

Then there was a flash of colour outside the train, and the people on the train reacted like it was new, asking if they saw that.
[Masumi says this as she writes in her notebook, apparently writing down what everyone else saw to try to put together a timeline of what happened that day.]

[It makes sense. But just why did it go wrong, and what happened to the people?]

[ But sharing can't hurt, right? Even though the girl struggles to describe it. It was so strange. ]
The memory was just.. nothing. Feeling like nothing.. being nothing, maybe? But then there were suddenly these lights in the distance.. I think there were ten of them, but my count could be off. [ Again - it was weird! She was confused! ] And then the memory-- the person the memory belonged to.. the train, maybe? It saw those lights as theirs, and started to pull.

Someone speaking over the SCA saying well explain everything and good luck and Orange and some Blues leaving the train.

It has to be before, right? Maybe...

They were clearly on a mission, but did not state what it was, only that they were in a hurry to do so. One seemed surprised by how the sky was acting.

[ It's not like Madoka knows. But she can't help but think about the stuff he's mentioning here, humming softly to herself as she does so. ]
I mean, I guess it could've been, since we've seen a lot of danger.. But you probably wouldn't have seen that memory unless it was important somehow, right? Maybe it was some special mission.. [ Even if Madoka has no idea what exactly it could be. ]

( he exhales sharply, more out of longstanding irritation than anything else. running a hand along a horn, his tail flicks visibly behind him before he straightens a touch: this is delivery mode, for someone used to making reports to superiors, all his life. )
A woman wearing blue stood in the middle of a crowd of people in uniforms belonging to the Voidtrecker Express. I think that was Vian, and she's been in the Voidtrecker's shared memories? Logs? Those recordings and those witnessed memories written down from the past.
The woman spoke after closing her eyes, stating, "Do it." No one spoke afterward, people avoided looking each other in the face, or looking at the woman who spoke. She glared at them, and a woman in orange glared back. She looked like she felt sick. The woman in blue turned and walks away.
When she's left, another person in the orange uniform approaches the glaring woman, calling her Xe. They ask what she needs, and after a moment of shaking her head, the woman called Xe says, "I need to do some maths."
( holding up his hands, as the terminology doesn't ping to him as arithmetic right off. )
Either way, two of the people I'm hearing others here saw, for what that's worth. Anyone have a running idea of which events fall where in the line of things happening? Vian didn't say what "it" was, but given what there's been before, "it" likely was the attempt to fix the whatever to save their homes. That needed Xe to do something to the engines, but was Vian what, the captain?

There's a memory, I've got a copy here. [ Now, and he's flicking through the pages of his book not on screen. He came somewhat prepared!! ] Everyone had a meeting after those sky shaped took out everything, and they... here.
[ Aha, found it. But he's squinting, looking down as the edges of the paper he used to photocopy the book show on screen. ]
--It ends with Vian saying "Do it". They'd been talking about going back, but someone else said it was dangerous. Xela. [ Ah, just like who Jingyi said. ] Yeah, Vian held the highest rank, so she got the say about them doing what they did.
[ He looks at the screen. ] You want me to read this out?

( wei wuxian smiles, though it's a fleeting thing, and he sits back, evidently in one of the carriages rather than his own cabin. )
Now usually I'd stress how terrible my memory is, but for the sake of what we're doing here, it's been having a few good weeks. In the mess of what I did see in those caves, the only memory related to the Voidtrecker Express was... hm.
( he waves a hand, since it's about talking those memories through, and now he needs to construct a narrative to share. )
Based on what others are saying, I saw Xe sitting where you did, at the engine wall. Spiderwebs up her arms, yes? She was playing a small flute, metal sounding, very mournful. I can recreate the tune if you'd like.
( can to the T nail it, as it were, but that's not usually what... okay, maybe on this voidtrain he's been making more music than really has any sense in his world, but that's part of its delight, isn't it? the senseless expansion of their lives, gaining meaning. )
I suspect the one who approached while Xe played was Vian, a woman in blue team's uniform. Mostly for what they say to each other, and what else people are sharing here, or we've seen or heard in the past. Vian joined Xe in sitting down and leaning against the wall while Xe played. Once the song ended, Xe told her she wasn't angry at her. Vian replied she knew.
( here, holding up his hands again. )
Neither of them named each other, and I didn't see anything other than the logs shared by the Voidtrecker Express before, and read the recorded memories from months past like you showed me before, but those are the people I suspect I was seeing. Follows up on what you had started to see.

[ That might be better, so other people can listen. Maybe they can even share it out. ]
