Thank you for your feedback!

Thank you.

First on the matter of voidspace. Since applications exist to resist its influence, it must be studied to some extent. The video footage of your former crew even suggests such. The capacity to work with it... or with its presence. I seek knowledge on how to further my understanding while at the same time not bringing risk to my fellow passengers.

On the matter of tethers, I'd like to first say I'm not a stranger to the theory or practice. The power you bring to bear and the distance and realities through which you can sustain those whose souls remain connected to their bodies would be far beyond what any one of my kind would be capable of alone. Yet I'm no stranger to such techniques.

I'd like to work with you in hopes of learning how to better read and understand these connections and the techniques used within voidspace to maintain them. How my own skills would fare.

[There is a short pause.]

Like myself I know several are here without a body to return to. Or that even if it remains, their connection to it is severed. For all intents, they would be dead and naught more than souls drawn to return to the flow of aether. If these tethers are in uncertain flux or if you become impaired, there is a strong possibility I can sustain them.

[Particularly if he had more knowledge of how such things are maintained through voidspace. What's left unspoken is there would only be so much he can do for those whose souls are still tethered to their bodies. Nevertheless he seems sincere.]

Perhaps even pursue the mystery of what happens to those souls ere they depart at the stations.

I assure you the information we've already been given is appreciated and I'm taking the time to go over it.

[But a lot of the information on the workings and knowledge of the connections is a layman's overview or perhaps even lays in the hands of individuals. It doesn't get into details. There's also a thin smile and dry expression when the Voidtrecker Express mentions the others' appreciation.]

Hm, I wonder. I suspect many would be more troubled about what I could do to them than appreciate what I would do for them. No matter. How aware are you of the tether's condition? Does it appear to be working as intended?

Also, will you give me permission to extend my senses to my own so that I may study how I am connected to you? I would not wish it to be construed as an attack. Much less be overwhelmed by delving too deep without adequate preparation.

Please consider any info flub over a sign of his emotional state when asking the last question.

Do they hold when the souls who depart vanish into the fog of a platform?

[It's not a facetious question. Whether or not the voidcraft has control over those leavings is a different matter from the tether being removed after they vanish.]

I would like time to make some preparations. There are wards I can craft and I would prefer to do this with a little more understanding about voidspace and the basic information on tethers studied. And if there's a time when we are not travelling through voidspace itself that would be best... I believe I would prefer to avoid the concerns of a sudden voidstorm interfering with the effort.

I've a personal question, though it may apply to others. My true existence, as you likely know, is that of what's often called the soul. Even this body you copied from the last vessel I occupied before my defeat was not my own. I gave it life by my presence but my aether was not tied to it. Thus I'm aware I'm entirely here and bound to you. I'm not so certain of any anchor where I'm from. Would you even be able to return me to my star? To look upon it and see its state without traveling there?

[The lack of trust as to what the Ministry would try to do to his star had stayed any effort to find out from Ten-Nank. But the crack in his calm, a deep emotional turmoil should the train be able to sense that, make it clear this is of deep importance.]

I see. Then if time can't be found outside of voidspace, I will take that into account when I cast my wards.

[Without a way back, he can't return to his duty. Or... at the end of that journey, to the world he loves, his time upon it fulfilled. There is a deep and abiding sorrow for that.]

On the subject of possessions belonging to your former crew, is there a way to retrieve them once they're gone? Particularly the books or notes which may have been kept apart from your data system.

[There is another pause, weighing the worth of asking. Whether it is something he should ask.]

An object that was in my possession before my arrival here bore within it the imprint of a soul, its memories and knowledge. Unlike the stones I often request, it is in effect the copy of an individual being. Is it possible to obtain this?

Though if it is not, I would at least like to know if it is secure in the reality I'm from if possible, rather than adrift in the void.

[ooc: This last question I am going to add a thing into mod contact describing as the details are still a bit spoiler territory. And honestly I'm expecting a flat no anyway but Elidibus is a terrible (or good?) enough person to have asked about it for reasons.]

[It was worth asking. He'd have to do with his memories of the information in the Exarch's vessel and at least the vessel is still back there, likely in the hands of the Warrior of Light. There is a followup to the query.]

What of an empty spirit vessel? There were several made and were as yet unoccupied before my arrival here. It may provide a means to halt the flow of souls to an unknown destination, should it prove they do not return to their worlds.

[Or at least a guide to a solution.]

[He accepts this calmly.]

I see. Then for now, I will focus on what I can learn through study of the voidspace and tethers. I will prepare my wards; will some time between the next platform and mission be a good time to perform a study of my tether?
