Good afternoon. I hope everyone has weathered the voidstorm if not well then at least with quick recovery.

I've been a passenger for about three months and I have noticed something curious. Given mortal propensity to celebrate seasonal festivities nearly every moon, I have not heard anyone make particular mention of doing so. I understand it's likely due to our lack of sense to time within the void other than the train's calendar and seasons as well as any differences from our respective stars.

Yet I would like to propose this changes. Establishing festive occasions not for every moon but with regular intervals will serve good purpose. A sense of anticipation for the upcoming festivity and a boon to community spirit during. To that end, I would open the floor to information on celebrations native to your respective worlds. Speak to me or one another.

I suspect we will find more similarities than differences and can create traditions for the train not just for ourselves, but for those who will inevitably succeed us. I am willing to take initiative in assembling the ideas and giving them a form within the limits of this train.

Oh, you have three moons too?!

[Esteban seems to struggle with the screen, but he does his best to follow along.]

D' they have the same cycles? From what I understand? How do they get t' be all full or all new at the same time?

My homeworld does, yes. Some planets have more or less than that.

They all have their own cycles depending on how far their orbit is out from the planet. That's why there are only certain days out of the year where they all line up so they're in the same phase.

So wait-- all their orbits are single-night based?

[He has an odd pinched expression, like he has trouble to understand what it means.]

How do you manage the tides? Doesn't that erode everythin' in its way?

It takes several standard weeks for each moon to make its orbit, a different amount of time for each.

It makes the tides quite a bit more complicated than on a single moon world.

Tell me 'bout it. I come from the Wandering Seas continent, an' it hasn't been named by accident.

[He grins, excited again.]

What's the stories surroundin' yer moons? What 'bout their names an' cycles? 'S there a lucky moon an' an unlucky one? Do they govern over anythin'?

I'd consider the one with the Imperial outpost to be particularly unlucky. The one the Free Ryloth movement operates out of... I'm not sure lucky is the right word, but I'd certainly rather end up there.

There are older stories about the moons and the goddess, but I haven't thought about them in years.

You have-- you travel t' the moons? Like, whenever you want?

People have been travelling between stars in my galaxy for millenia. Each of the worlds we celebrate holidays from on my ship circles a different star.

[He's quiet for a long time, processing that.]

That's so cool! An' you can just-- what-- drop on a moon? What's it like?!

It depends on the moon. Some don't have any air at all. Some have air and not much else.

The one I'm based o now is full of jungles. It's flying to the moons that's my faoourite part.

Oh! What about's the travellin' that makes it the best part? Is it a lot diff'rent from how we are on the VoidTrecker? How long d'es it take you t' travel to the moons?

I've always love the feeling of flying. In some ways the biggest difference is that normally I'm at the controls. The way we travel between planets isn't so different from the void.

If you're starting fromthe same system reaching a moon is usually a matter of hours.

That sounds amazin'~ An' y' just travel whenever an' wherever you want? How far c'n you go?

If we have the fuel... and don't run into any blockades, we can cross the galaxy. Wherever we want is probably not quite accurate when the Empire interferes.

Wait-- 'f yer travelin' b'tween stars-- how big is that Empire y're talking about?

Too much of the galaxy. Hundreds of planets.

[Sounds like a touchy subject. He's not sure how to salvage this anymore, but he's going to try anyways.]

Tell me 'bout the crewmates y' talked 'bout? What're they like? I get that Sabine likes to blow stuff up, but what 'bout the others?

My family, really. Everyone was... a little damaged, when they came on board. But together we're better than we could be on our own.

[Oh now you've got her going, because she loves her family]

THere's Chopper, a droid I fixed up when I was just a kid. He's a bit cranky, but he's incredibly loyal and always ready to fight. My partner, Kanan, can take my ideas and turn them into actual plans. He thinks I'm the wild idealist, but he sees a future in a way I don't dare.

Zeb acts gruff, but he's loyal and honorable.

And then there's the kids. Sabine does love explosions, but she's also an incredible artist. She was brave enough to walk away from an Imperial Academy when she was still so young and I can always count on her. Ezra... we met him when he stole from us and we realized he had the same abilities as Kanan. He needed a teacher and a family. He tried to pretend he was only out for himself, but he's so kind and compassionate. It's no wonder he always manages to bond with animals that I didn't even think could be bonded with.

[Oh! He'd been on the wrong subject entirely!]

They sound like a rowdy bunch! [He snickers,] Didja play games with yer kids? What kinda games d' they like?

Rowdy is a bit of an understatement.

We play a game called dejarik on long hyperspace trips. It's a strategy game with holographic pieces.

Otherwise it's mostly flying lessons. Target practice for Sabine, sparring with Kanan for Ezra. I wish the galaxy had more games for them and less training.

The flying lessons would be the same no matter what though.

First lesson of flyin' is learnin' how to fall~ [He grins at that, but he understands they are not talking about the same kind of flying at all.]
