Continuing the Fight Club (A few days after the Void Storm)

[Trunks stands before the screen, in a black tank-top with his purple hoodie and uniform pants and boots. He's in the training gym.]

So, Mr. Rieper used to do this, but since he left... It was a good idea though, and I'm not sure if anyone else has picked it up. I already all but live here in the training gym though. My Name's Trunks, and I was thinking we revive the fight club, as it came to be called. It's at least once a month, if not twice a month, where anyone can come and find people to spar with. Or learn from, or teach.

Our missions tend to be dangerous, whether we want them to be or not, and everyone should learn the basics. We have quite a few different skill levels and teachers. So I'll be hosting this month's Fight Club in the evening.

Do you have weapons available to spar with, or are you all just hand to hand?

We've had weapons before, and there are definitely some practice weapons available. It would depend on what you wanted to learn or practice with. Some of the more esoteric stuff has had to be ordered.

Oh, just a basic sword. I know a little hand to hand, but it’s been a while since I’ve used a weapon.

There are a few different basic practice swords, as well as some real ones. That won't be a problem.

Good. I've been put on the heavy-combat team despite not being the most well-equipped for fighting. I still don't know why it did that.

We're still trying to figure out why the train does certain things. You also don't have to stick with your team necessarily. I'm on purple, but have helped on all the teams at this point. We're figuring out how to adjust with Kumoko gone, but Black Squad is still active. That's those of us with a black armband, who go wherever we're needed most.

I see. Who's Kumomko?

She was a sorceress, and had the ability to teleport people with certain armbands where they needed to go, among other skills. One of the founders of Black Squad, and White Squad.

Ah, that's... frustrating. I'd use my portals if I could, but it seems like that ability's been disabled here.

You're right there. Sometimes I regret that I only taught Peter my style of fightin' rather than find someone what could train him to use his powers.

[Maybe if he'd not been up his ass Krugarr or Stakar could have. Oh well. Hindsight.]

But I do know for all the other fancy fightin' techniques, there's somethin' to be said for learnin' how to fight on desperate measures and makin' use of a disadvantage.

You are absolutely correct, and it's something we need to learn. Honor won't necessarily keep you alive. I hope people take you up on your teaching. And if you want to learn stuff too, or practice, you're more than welcome to.

To be honest the biggest help I need right now is learnin' to use the plant shit. In a more hostile way.

Might need to play a few games of keep the arrow away from the Saiyan, too.

I can't help you with the plant stuff, but I can definitely help you with sparring and practice.

... Thanks, Trunks. Haven't really been able to get that off the ground myself... I can swing by. If nothing else it'll give me a chance to find someone to spar with.

I mean, I was definitely present a few times and it's a good idea. Not to mention I don't see missions getting any less dangerous, so better we all be prepared. Besides, I all but live in the training gym it seems. So if you need a partner you can ask me too.

Yeah, I'm there all the time, too. It seems like a good few of us are. Though we're not usually the social type...

Depends on the type of 'social'. Those of us who are there all the time are usually there to work first and foremost.

That's the goal. Things aren't likely to get less dangerous. Besides, this way people will know who to go to for certain skills, and for help in various situations.
