Video; Backdated to Orchestra 1

[Rapunzel was fidgeting with her hair nervously. What was she nervous about? Well people were soon about to find out.]

So... hi everyone. So Curufin was so nice and got something that will be used as a reminder for those who have come and gone from the train. [She soon paused. It might not be the nicest reminder that people have left the train, but hey she had to say it.]

I was hoping to ask if anyone wanted to paint something for someone who has left who if you don't want to but still want to leave a tribute you can always ask me or someone else to do it. If you ask me you need to let me know who and what they were like so I can paint something that suits the person.

I hope that people like this and hope to add to it.

If anyone wants a name carved into the memorial stone in the garden, too, they can let me know. There's enough room, and sometimes it helps. I burn incense there daily as it is, or as close to it as I can get.

I will remember that. I will also remind people if you'd like about it.

But I do agree I think things like the rock and this will help and also a way to remember them.

Yeah, however people best find a way to remember those they care for, and the others we've lost. To death, or to going missing. Doesn't have to be permanent to be felt.

That I understand. Even though I guess it can be painful to some people so I wonder if me doing this might have hurt some people...

Living means at some point, intentionally or not, you'll have the potential to hurt others. Doing so actively is a difference. Or keeping hurting people once you know and not apologising. If someone tells you, take ownership then, right?

I will. But unless I am told avoiding it the best I can seems like a good idea at least. But if I do something bad and hurt someone I would of course take ownership because hurting someone is never and will never be my intention.

[ Inigo? Actually doing something to remind himself of people who left the train?

Please, he would never. His trauma regarding that is just way too strong, he can't even bring himself to think about it without feeling like he might start shaking. Which is why he's not directly answering the question, instead smiling as he appears to reply. ]

Rapunzel, did you paint something yourself yet?

[ Look, he can just make it all about her! The best solution, clearly. ]

Paint something myself? Do you mean in remembrance to someone, if so not yet.

But I want to at least do one for someone I considered close.

[ Inigo lets out a hum of confirmation - that is what he meant, though she's thankfully already giving the answer. ]

Aw, come on. You should've shown us a nice example first!

[ Though he guesses he can understand her taking her time if she wants to make it just perfect.. ]

What kind of idea did you have in mind for that so far?

I didn't know I needed to do an example?

[Mostly though even she hadn't done anything with it yet until she knew who wanted to add to it.]

As for an idea, I don't. People can do their tribute to the person in whatever way they want.

Heh, you didn't have to! [ Please, he'd never want to make her feel forced to do something. ] It's just that it can.. help, you know?

[ Inigo pauses, seeming to think of how to explain this for a moment before he continues. ]

For example.. some people might want to do something, but they might have no idea where to start, or what exactly to do. Then already having an example they can work off would be handy! [ He nods. ] Especially since I know you, and you're a whole lot more creative than most people.

[ So it's a way for her to help others, he thinks. ]

I see what you mean. But I'm still pondering what I want to do myself... It's hard I guess to think of what you think represents someone and then bring it to the painting. I'm too use to painting based on memories or just something I like.

[For her it was two completely different ways of thinking.]

I can try and think up something if I get a name that I might have known.

[ Inigo goes quiet for a moment. He's thinking. Mostly trying to think of friends who left that he and Rapunzel might have had in common, so he can ask her to paint something for someone - and therefore give her an idea for an example that she could show to others too. ]

Well.. Who do you remember fondly out of the people who left? Maybe I knew of them well too, and then you could paint something for them that comes from the both of us. [ As a memorial for them. ]

[She paused for a moment. There was one person she could think of from the top of her head.]

I'm not sure if you spoke to them or anything, but do you remember a guy named Gladio? He was a very nice person and probably someone I considered like family which I guess for me who barely had any beyond Gothel was a big thing.

Oh.. Yeah, I remember him!

[ Sheesh, talk about old memories. It sure has been a long while since that guy had been on the train, huh.. But he has a unique enough attitude and physique that Inigo sure remembers him the moment Rapunzel mentions the name. ]

I didn't know you two were that close.. It's nice to hear though! [ Even though it makes it extra suck that he left. ] It shouldn't be too hard to think of something to paint for him, right? He's such a unique guy!

I guess I don't show who I am close to that much. But I guess being close it makes me worried about doing the painting because I worry about messing it up.

Maybe thats why I haven't done any examples. I don't want to do something wrong and upset anyone or anything.

[ Oh no. Inigo didn't know there was that sort of sentiment behind Rapunzel not having done anything yet herself - and it immediately makes his facial expression and his tone grow a little softer, more gentle. ]

Well.. You've got to start somewhere, right? [ Or Rapunzel won't be able to paint anything for anyone. ] If you're really so worried, then how about starting it first on a piece of paper? You know, so you can try it out and see what it'll look like before making it for real on the wall.

I have things I can do that on.

[It meant if she messed yup no one would at least know about it. SO it was a good idea at least.]

If you want, I could come over right now. Then you'll have some company while trying out some of the ways it could look.

Rapunzel is generous with her praise. [ Smile. ]

I bought a roll of canvas large enough to make a mural that can hang in the corridor of the Music Carriage, and extend all the way along the right-hand wall between the doors at either end. And I bought wood to make a frame on which to stretch the canvas. And also, wood to make an easel to hold the mural while it's being painted.

Rapunzel's idea was to have as many people as would like to participate actually do the painting. As she says, the theme would be the people who were here but now are gone from the train, as a sort of memorial to them. If anybody has someone they want to remember in this way but doesn't feel they have the artistic skills, then they can ask Rapunzel or someone else to do the actual painting.

Don't ask me, though. [ Chuckle. ] I'm going to stick to being the carpenter and making the canvas frame and sticking the thing on the wall when it's finished.

Are you saying you also don't have the talent for painting? I put yo down for someone with the skill.

Well. . . I haven't done a lot of representational imagery, at least not when it's images of people. If you ask me for that, you're liable to get stick figures or worse! [ Snicker. This is not entirely true, but Curufin likes to make fun of himself occasionally. ] I can make images of buildings and landscape, though.

That's still a form of art though landscapes and such. I think a lot of people do that type of thing.

True, that is an art form. Landscapes and architecture are serious subjects for artists.

Yes and they help one improve. But I never got to do many of those kinds of things. I have been since I got on the train though.

I can believe they help an artist improve. I'm glad you get to work on your drawing and painting, now that you're free of your situation in your own world, and free to do as you wish with your time on the train.

Yes and hopefully for when I go home, whenever that is.

Nobody knows when we will go home, but when you do, you'll take your skills with you. That is such a good thing!

True. We don't really know if we'll ever leave the train and go back to our own worlds. But I'm guessing we will, at some point. We just don't know when. Are you really worried about not going at all?

Unfortunately, I think where a loss is concerned, some hurt is inevitable. One person might find a picture comforting while for another person, it'd be an unpleasant reminder. You can't really avoid it.

[Trunks sighs, and rakes a hand through his bangs.]

I've...had a lot of loss in my life. But I know for me at least, having pictures has been comforting.

I guess...I mean I'd rather not hurt anyone if I can help it.

[But she knew deep down she would hurt someone as much as it really bothers her about it.]

I get how it might hurt people though, but I'm glad pictures have helped you.

Sadly, you can't really control whether you hurt someone or not. But your intentions are good, and you're being open and up front, so hopefully that'll minimize it.

Hopefully, but I'm sure if it bothers anyone they would say something... Right?

I mean, I hope so? Or if they don't want to bring it to you directly, then bring it to someone who will.
