( Jingyi flops back to be sitting on a bed (large! well, double versus the twins of the cabins, so anyone who's in the doubles carriage is already used to this, lucky buds. He gives the ICP a look after sighing, holding up his hands in a stopping gesture. He keeps his voice lower since, well, this talks into cabins and some people are likely asleep, but: )
Okay, so, right. How do people sleep alone? It's so quiet! The big bed's nice, but I'm waking myself up here.
( He doesn't do pleading as his best look, but here, have a twenty-one year old making a Beseeching Expression to the people awake enough to have noticed the ICP up and talking. )
Anyone up for a four night sleepover or something? Elidibuses need not apply.

This guy. ]
You don't even have to ask me!
[ His eyes are close to twinkling. ]
no subject
Is there room for five guys? Jingyi's got his tail, too.
[ It's a fatty tail. Just saying!! Leaning back in the bed in his and Inigo's room, a handheld device in hand (but it's okay, the game is paused). ]
no subject
( A softened snort, since he knows it's neither of those things. There, there, he pats his tail and turns his attention to Taiki's image because who knows how these things work, it's a giant multi-person call??? )
Mm, if you all want to, it'll be a cosie fit? I don't mind.
( He can always go small, so on that side of things, not a worry, though hilarious as it also means he would be... not using the large bed in the only form that matters. )
no subject
Cozie is nice and you can always kick us out if you want your space again. Um... I can come over now if you want.
no subject
[ Did Inigo just totally ignore the part about it being a bit of a squeeze? Yes, because he sure doesn't mind. And apparently he's not even giving Tidus the room to have concerns about it.. Sorry, bro. ]
We'll be right there too. I'll take Tidus along! [ He has no choice. Going to drag that boy out of their bed and along over to Jingyi's rented room. ]
no subject
Which is why before he knows it, he's getting volunteered for sure in this sleepover. ]
What am I? A stuffed toy? [ WHO SAYS YOU CAN BOSS HIM AROUND INIGO. But it sounds like he and Inigo are going to be dragged off the call soon with Inigo focused on this new goal. ]
no subject
Please do, I'd prefer to rest—
( And while Inigo and Tidus are about to flee screen, Jingyi does look at his actual stuffed toy gift from his sect leader and quirks up an eyebrow.
Yeah, Tidus, you may indeed be like his sleep dragon from Aquafir. That said, Jingyi waves at whoever's still on ICP, turning his off and flopping back on the bed with a small noise of general complaint. He tells the train, "You're not helping," but about what, or to what extent, he doesn't bother voicing.
Whoever knocks first gets a repeat of what Jingyi's been doing all week, which is him sprawled on the bed with one hand lazily held out toward the door, and the door opening, because he threw a small telekinetic shield at it.
Open, Sesame. )
no subject
He knocked quietly, though there wasn't anyone but Jingyi to disturb here and Jingyi knew they were coming.
The door opened, though Jingyi was not in front of it, a cautious look inside revealed him on the bed.]
Hello Shuǐlóng
no subject
(And yes, Inigo may be holding onto Tidus's hand, as if he physically dragged the other along just in case he'd get cold feet - but thankfully for Tidus, he lets it go once they're behind Taiki.) ]
Hey, we're here too!
[ Inigo sounds way too high energy for something that involves sleeping. ]
no subject
Wearing a face like he's unsure how he got dragged into this again, but isn't going to protest it. Instead, while he follows the greetings with a "Hey" of his own, his eyes are looking about the room with far more interest. There's an ICP panel there, and... ]
Oh, what does this make?
[ Over to the hot drink machine he goes. Heyyy, does this have hot chocolate? ]
no subject
( he props himself up on an arm, but otherwise remains sprawled out, because he is actually tired. he meant it! tired young man here! grumpy, but less so, because he does enjoy his eclectic groups of new friends, and these three are firmly in that number. )
Dunno, the tea's better if you bring the loose stuff from the kitchens, though. Oh, and this ICP does more than the usual.
( He indicates to the panel in question, not qualifying what "more than the usual" means. But it does that! More than the usual!
He then shifts further up and moves so he's at one side of the bed, firmly, and his tail... drapes off the side as he settles back down on his side. )
Thanks for coming.
( He says, watching them with tired but curious eyes, because he did not have any plan past the asking for company. Also: )
ICP'll let you add names to the room for the week. Just the once, I think. There was a warning.
( But that's the only way he's making that offer: be shipped back to your rooms in the usual way once the break in days happens, or stay. For a guy on his side in his inner robes, white, he doesn't look particularly concerned one way or the other. (Fundamentally, it's the same. Isn't it?) )
no subject
It will? We could do that... [Better than being thrown back to their own rooms in the morning and leaving Jingyi alone...
He glanced at the other two to see what they thought.]
no subject
Not that Inigo minds, though. It's a good thing that the other at least seems to have something he's interested in, and it gives him a moment to instead smile at Taiki and Jingyi while Inigo's moving into the room too, but staying a bit closer to the door still. ]
Yeah, I don't mind!
[ Please. Is Inigo going to mind perpetual multi-bro sleepovers?
Never. ]
.. As long as you're sure about it too though, Jingyi? I mean, I wouldn't blame you if you also wanted other people to be able to sleep over.
no subject
Why the heck isn't this a staple in the bedrooms!!!
But it does mean he's the guy by the ICP when the part about room sharing comes up, and that's a new interest, a part in the console start-up he hadn't caught. But another look shows what might be the option, and he peers at the other two. Well, Inigo and Taiki would probably be into it. ]
What, so we can't group up and sleep in here again next week or something?
[ Is that what it means? Is the train being stingy?? ]
no subject
( He says, as far as his stance on all this, tone a touch dry. But hey, while it's not what would be happening, he's pointing out that's how it feels, on some level, so yes he can be a co-sleeping floozie for all but still.
Then again, Tidus has him blinking and wondering... would the train do that. Would it. )
I only shoved fake points at the train for a week here. With just my name, and it didn't have any option to add names after until today, when I was looking at the ICP again.
( Which yes just makes him sigh because it also reminds him like someone escaping into a brothel for a week and changing who's staying with him, only he isn't and it's a dumb thought but this inn lends itself to these thoughts. Annoying! )
no subject
[Between them they had a lot of points, they could just keep paying to share a room like this forever.
It was perhaps a selfish thought however. He knows that at least Inigo would appreciate some time with just he and Tidus.]
no subject
Like a bro cuddlepile on the bed. Don't think he isn't already imagining it. In fact, since he's still standing so close by Taiki, he's just taking a moment to drape himself on the other, hugging him from behind and leaning his chin on Taiki's shoulder. ]
But if Jingyi wants us to stay some nights here, I think that's a great idea.
no subject
Which is why they're here in the first place, and he knows the other two find comfort in the company of others. It's peculiar in a way to Tidus, but not to the point where it overrides his care for his friends. This is what they like, and wouldn't it be nicer if Taiki could sleep with friends more? ]
When this is over, how about we try it again, or some of us? [ He starts talking as he walks over to the bed, to come and find a place he can scoot onto it. Is Jingyi the only one here? Tidus isn't shy, hi buddy, let him get his butt on here. ] You can ask some other guy friends. Like... Sizhui? [ Hmm. ] Ryo? Maybe... Quatre?
[ who can be part of the cuddle gangs ]
no subject
Still, there's a whole list of names, and he lifts both brows. )
Probably can ask whoever you want, it seems like most people here are at least somewhat used to sleeping next to others. For whatever reasons.
( he shrugs, not bothering to follow that thought too far: it's different for each person as far as he knows, and his whole life has a structure to it that no one here matches, and it only weighs down parts of him the longer he's staying here. how to say, in the last two months, he has slept on his own fine because he's had roommates, but until three nights before, he'd never slept alone in his remembered life?
yeah. )
Think you're right about that anyway, Inigo. Anyone can spend the points, then you write in the names for who's staying here, not sure if there's any other limits. So you could always do that, switch out who's donating points, I don't know. They're all ( he holds up a hand, wibbly wobblies it ) nonsense anyway. So why not? They can't be traded for anything off train, as far as I know. Even on Aquafir, we were given those other things to spend, not the points.
( then, unceremoniously, he flops back, laying like that with his arms over his head for a moment. he won't sleep like this, the shape of his lower back and his tail mean it's a nice stretch but a pain in several places over the course of an evening, but it also just feels nice right now. )
no subject
I think more than one person can pay as well so we can combine points...
[He knows that staying all together can't happen all the time, but it's nice to know it's an option.]
Shuǐlóng is right, the points aren't a currency off the train.
no subject
So he instead settles in on his spot on one side of the bed, next to Taiki. ]
I think Tidus wasn't suggesting the next sleepover party for himself. [ Inigo says, some light amusement in his voice. It kind of sounded like Jingyi was taking it this way, but considering what Inigo knows about Tidus, he's pretty sure the other wasn't mentioning those names just for himself.. especially not when he used to already hem and haw enough about just having Inigo as a cuddle buddy. ]
It's more just.. you can just ask whoever to come sleep with you when you want it, you know? [ Even if it might not always be on this big bed, considering points will eventually just run out. ] There's plenty of people who'd want to. Ryo and Quatre definitely seem like the types.
[ And of course Sizhui too, but that goes without saying, Inigo figures. Especially to Jingyi, who is so close to that guy. ]
no subject
(A Taiki and Jingyi sandwich it is.)
Instead, Tidus is immediately piqued by the nickname said, shuǐlóng - he wants to speak up, brows rising, though his chance getting lost. Still, his enthusiasm isn't, humming as interested as he thinks out loud: ] Maybe we should have another guy time sometime; y'know, hang out, chat, get to know each other - Jingyi didn't get to come along when we had it on the train.
[ But!! But! But! This is his time! ] Hey, Taiki! You share our nicknames too? Háishì.
[ Listen to him just say this word, and very proudly. Pointing a thumb at himself, eyes on Jingyi. ]
You two can't be the only ones getting fancy names! Oh yeah, and Inigo's is, uhh... ... Vmu... Vmemmyfan taykut.
[ Forget how to say 'flower dragon' in one language? Use a different one you don't really remember well instead!
(Incorrectly.) ]
no subject
( Jingyi snorts, pointing to Inigo: )
Xiao Igo.
( Then to Tidus: )
Lao Dus. I mean, names are names are given anyway, but I wonder if all ours would be different. We're not exactly granting titles, you know? Or else I'm lodging a complaint that my title is dragon.
( Looking a touch amused, but not actually arguing for or against it, he's claiming closer bonds with Taiki by calling him what he does. It's not a title at all. )
Anyway, how you wanna spend the train's points, who you wanna sleep with, no comment from me. I'm not going to be spending a whole lot of mysteriously earned things on big rooms all the time, that's just reality. Maybe once I'm here long enough I'll con someone into being a one roommate, that's still better.
( Said with a trailing yawn, because he's... he's going down... and he's down on his side, yes, but curling with his tailtip draping over an ankle and a pillow dragged under his head, his arm under the pillow.
(He's falling asleep. Right there, everyone else still lively, it's Too Late for Lan Jingyi.) )
no subject
He curled up next to him as he went down, though he was a little surprised, he went from so animated to almost asleep so quickly.]
It seems Shuǐlóng really is exhausted.
no subject
Inigo's brain seems to need a few moments to even catch up, and after processing everything, his brain mostly ends up latching onto the last thing Taiki says.
If not just because it's the last thing said altogether. ]
H-Hey, what's this?! [ Inigo immediately protests, sitting up. ] You can't just give us weird nicknames, not explain, and then go sleep! Jingyi!
[ And if Jingyi doesn't stir, Inigo will definitely add a whine of: ]
Jingyi is cheating..!
