Okay, so, right. How do people sleep alone? It's so quiet! The big bed's nice, but I'm waking myself up here.

( He doesn't do pleading as his best look, but here, have a twenty-one year old making a Beseeching Expression to the people awake enough to have noticed the ICP up and talking. )

It's-- not that hard to get used to. Just requires some adjustments.

[ Though, he can kind of get the thought. Since experiencing a lot of things, he's just happy to sleep next to his dog, which is a breathing something. ]

[ Jin Ling shrugs on his end. Hakagemachi did a lot of things to his state of being. After all, if he was from his own world, that probably would have been the answer. ]

[ Jin Ling wouldn't call him a furred creature, but regardless, technicalities. He's being respectful of those boundaries enough. Fairy would probably just wander about if anything. It's good at listening at least. ]

[ When Jingyi sounds that serious, he supposed he couldn't help but be concerned in his own way. It's not like he knew what happened to everyone here. He had only been here for a short time. ]

[ He didn't get why Jingyi seemed to have quirks like this but it wasn't the most surprising thing. At least, he was warned about it. At least, he's learning things about Jingyi. ]

[ Whichever worked, he guessed? Jin Ling had nothing against people snuggling. He just was sort of prickly himself when it came to anything close to affection. Snuggles included. ]

( Lifting eyebrows, because both imply either that he, Jingyi, is a monstrous person to sleep beside and probably kicks people out of bed or strangles them with cuddling, or else Jin Rulan's that Do Not Touch, which is funny in the sense of he has to deal with all his siblings so of course he doesn't always Get His Own Space, how can you, the littles like to pounce on their big brother. He's had to hear about it often enough. )

[ He's totally not freaking. He has no idea what Jingyi is saying at all! It's not that has issues with Jingyi as a person. He's just not the kind of person that can handle being snuggled. It's hard dealing with the endless amounts of hugs that he's attacked with when it came to Wei Wuxian. He can't handle snuggling at the same time. It definitely has nothing with Jingyi being-- well Jingyi. ]

[ He's still irritated that Jingyi still calls him 'Rulan.' ]

( The guy stuttering??? Also Rulan is your name, you're an adult, he's not calling you by a name implying you're closer than you are! He calls Sizhui by his courtesy name, he's not calling you Jin Ling or Ah-Ling!

This is, however, also based on a different basis of interaction, which hasn't been corrected for at all, just as he has no concept of what Jin Ling expects out of him.

[ He has no idea what Jingyi is talking about! He's not stuttering at all! Also, no he's not yet an adult.... so he will not and he doesn't consider them close just because he calls him by Jin Ling. It's just familiar to him more than anything. Of course, getting that to happen is going to be a challenge. He just doesn't like being called that all the time.

He isn't expecting much from Jingyi. Honestly, he's fine with the way they are currently. He's just bothered by the name. That's all and who is a young madam?! ]

also, you're over fifteen! you've been given your courtesy name! reaching majority is entirely different, and also irrelevant because our collective canons also don't give no flips for actual traditions: see, wei wuxian being called wei wuxian clearly before he's fifteen.
