Nebula 24 | Video

[About an hour after everyone's unceremonious return, the video feed clicks on to show Ryo in the dining car, looking serious.]

Three things:

One: Is everyone okay?

Two: There's food in the dining car, and coffee and tea and hot chocolate. Come get something to eat if you need it.

Nope. I didn't talk to everybody, obviously, but we had surveillance screens on the rest of the crew and I didn't see any eating.

No arrests. They wouldn't talk to us about the laws that applied in detail, just...wanted to know what we were doing and where the train might be going.

No, but they did do a weird sci-fi body scan that probably read them.

Eh, well, if they board we probably don't have anything too personal anyway. I mean. They're some sort of multiversal militarized security agency. Like Void FBI or something. They probably go wherever the hell they want.

Maybe they're more scared of the chaos gremlin messing with people's heads than they are of us.

Very possible. They seemed real interested in any of the world erasing.

I wasn't here yet when that big thing happened, but I imagine they must've wanted more about that.

Oh. Well. It's convenient people recently got a lot more information on that.

Yeah apparently the chaos gremlin was something that went on for a few missions. I was here for the thing where it made a maze.

People really like to just fuck with us, I guess.

Escape room scenarios are all kinds of balls. Last one I was in stuck us in crates- not here, back home. I wouldn't be surprised if the train's happy to know that people have seen it could be worse.

I bet it is. But right now...I don't know, I think it's scared of the ministry. It had been trying to contact us right before we landed, I think. Like it was yelling to us in a panic.

Well the train's a criminal so I don't blame it. It was meant to be decommissioned. So like... I don't like that it kidnapped us but I also get why its running. I've been there, except with the angle of "Every time I tried to run people'd still catch me."

She's not a serial killer or anything, like the train version of Christine. At least I don't think so? I dunno. Nah she's just decommissioned and still on the void streets. So it's like, from what I can tell? The void equivalent of driving with unpaid parking tickets. Except she came from a place that got destroyed and probably, I'm guessing, has some of the only direct evidence of the destruction and they wanna...

Y'know, I don't know. Information suppression? Research? I think Time Travel was involved.

I just know from experience you don't have to do anything major to be someone's excuse. [Which is the most relatable thing he's bothered to say about the train.]
