Never have I ever made a fool of myself [video, nebula 17]

What's up, party people?

[ And here's a cheerful wave from a man in orange, seated in his room with a mug of...something. ]

If we haven't met yet, my name's Jake. Jake Peralta, your clues guy. I'm down to poke things with sticks and solve mysteries! Sooner we figure out what the train's entire deal is, where we're going and all that, the better, right? But in the meantime, I thought it'd be fun to get to know my new squad!

Anyways, I was wondering if anyone would be down to play a little Earth game called Never Have I Ever. How it works is you say something totally cool, or weird, or boring that you haven't done. And anybody who has done it has to take a drink. Unfortunately, I'm as broke here as I was back home, so I can't supply the booze. And we should probably be setting a good example, right?

So just drink whatever you have! Be that water, juice, milk, coffee...or if you happen to have a proper adult beverage on you, go ahead and drink responsibly. You ready? Great, I'll start: never have I ever gone skydiving!

((ooc: it's a big mingle format! Go ahead and add new 'never have I ever' statements as new toplevels, and threadhop all you want.))

Sure! We've got a while to plan this, so we'll see what there is to ya!

I'm thinking we need some kind of big multi-player game to make people come together. ... Or hate each other over.

[ just say Mario Party. ]

[Games that would either make everyone hate each other or come together--]

I can think of a few, but they're kind of.. niche. Peril. Cards Against Sapience. Prisons and Gryphons..

[Okay maybe not.]

... Hangman is kind of technically multiplayer..

...You're gonna have to explain all of those to me.

[ what is different universes. ]

...Hm! Let's see.

[He's actually played them all, but..]

Peril is a boardgame that revolves around diplomacy, backstabbing and territory grabs. You use dice to determine how your army is doing, and whoever takes over the entire board wins. Cards Against Sapience really shouldn't be played with kids, it's sort of a 'fill in the blanks' card game that specializes in horrible or filthy words, and people playing vote on which one they think is 'best'. The more crass it is the better. And Prisons and Gryphons is a lot like some of those 'video games' in the games car. You pick a person, you pretend to be that person with a bunch of friends, and you get another friend to narrate adventures for you.

Huhhhh. So a lot of...board-y games. [ Yes, that's what he's referring all those as, even if the Cards Against Sapience doesn't fit that really. ]

Wait, are they in the games car now? That card game one sounds like fun. There's no set-up or anything?

Yes. Most other games require a lot more space, which we lack, or ... fewer people.

[And wouldn't that just get in the way of the desire to have lots of people playing??

Though he wouldn't mind more space. Something big enough to split the train into teams and just goof off with entire ballgames or something.]

I know two of them are! I'm not really sure about Prisons and Gryphons, and that one's a multi-session thing anyway.
