If we haven't met yet, my name's Jake. Jake Peralta, your clues guy. I'm down to poke things with sticks and solve mysteries! Sooner we figure out what the train's entire deal is, where we're going and all that, the better, right? But in the meantime, I thought it'd be fun to get to know my new squad!

Anyways, I was wondering if anyone would be down to play a little Earth game called Never Have I Ever. How it works is you say something totally cool, or weird, or boring that you haven't done. And anybody who has done it has to take a drink. Unfortunately, I'm as broke here as I was back home, so I can't supply the booze. And we should probably be setting a good example, right?

So just drink whatever you have! Be that water, juice, milk, coffee...or if you happen to have a proper adult beverage on you, go ahead and drink responsibly. You ready? Great, I'll start: never have I ever gone skydiving!

I've definitely been to space, yes.

[She sips her tea.]

[ Should he ask? Maybe he shouldn't ask. It slipped out. ]

Hmm, how about...never have I ever had a pet. Did you?

I grew up in a palace and was taught by a series of education droids and private tutors. There weren't many other children around for much of my young life.

As for pets, are we only counting animals that belonged primarily to me specifically, or do ones belonging to my family in general count?

Oh yeah, kind of like Noct I guess, for most of his schooling.

I guess if it's your family's pet that still counts?

The answer would be yes in either case, but I wanted to be sure. I kept several pets in the last world I was in, including a cat, a rat, and a reindeer, as well as a few Pokémon. Here I have one of my Pokémon, Mirrorbright.

[A pair of lavender, feline-looking ears poke briefly into frame to demonstrate this fact, before Leia's Espeon realizes she's not actually being addressed and lays her head back down.]

In my own world I didn't have any personal pets, but the royal family did keep several thrantas while I was growing up, and I learned to ride one as a little girl.

[She takes a sip of her tea.]

I looked after Lady Lunafreya's dog for two days once.

[ He giggles a little bit. ]

[Mirrorbright pokes her head properly into frame this time, so Prompto can get a better look at her. She stretches a bit then sits up, remaining visible next to Leia in frame.]

You should have seen her when she was an Eevee; they're probably some of the cutest little fluffballs anywhere.

And I've been in more than a few bars in my time, so...

Man, I always wanted a pet.

[ He's grinning again. ]

You can get one from the on board shop, actually.

[ Considering his car track record - stellar that it is, he doesn't think he'll be allowed to drive the boat either. ]

I'm not certain ships count, but speeders and speederbikes almost certainly do, so...

[She sips her tea.]

As a good boy, I would never ever have done such a thing! [ Prompto tried to look scandalized, but he was taking a drink, all smiles. ]

I definitely did not do such a thing when I was underaged and totally did not get in trouble when I faced the consequences the next day when I was at training.

I...I...ugh I don't know. It's dumb because I haven't done a lot of things, I just can't think of any right now!
