What's up, party people?

If we haven't met yet, my name's Jake. Jake Peralta, your clues guy. I'm down to poke things with sticks and solve mysteries! Sooner we figure out what the train's entire deal is, where we're going and all that, the better, right? But in the meantime, I thought it'd be fun to get to know my new squad!

Anyways, I was wondering if anyone would be down to play a little Earth game called Never Have I Ever. How it works is you say something totally cool, or weird, or boring that you haven't done. And anybody who has done it has to take a drink. Unfortunately, I'm as broke here as I was back home, so I can't supply the booze. And we should probably be setting a good example, right?

So just drink whatever you have! Be that water, juice, milk, coffee...or if you happen to have a proper adult beverage on you, go ahead and drink responsibly. You ready? Great, I'll start: never have I ever gone skydiving!

That wasn't your idea of how to live a life, though? You didn't have a choice about it.

I mean yeah. Now though I get to have the choice, so one day when I get back I can actually go through with my choices. Hopefully.

And maybe you can choose to live a different kind of life, back in your own world. What would you do differently?

I really don't know. I mean my life was at the tower. I don't really have anywhere to go if I did leave.

Maybe you could go adventuring and find some place to go? Life doesn't have to stay the same forever, it can change, if you take the initiative.

I mean that could be an option. Going out and helping people.

It sounds as though you'd like that.

I don't know. It'd more what I am used to at this point more than something I am overly passionate about. I like to do it, but is it something I could do long term post train?

I guess you won't know until you get back to your own world and give it a try. I don't think it's necessary to be completely passionate about it, if it's something you like to do. Liking to help people can take you a long way.

Can it? Like I do like helping people and enjoy getting to know others and making friends. SO it will be a we will see when it happens.

Yes, we will see! If I ever go back to my own world, I'd like to know how you are doing in yours. Too bad we won't have a radio that can operate across the universes.

I like to believe there will be a way someday.

Maybe there's a point in believing. After all, it must be possible. How else do those mission worlds call for Void help?

I don't know. I do wonder that honestly. Is there like some special way?

I don't know either. Maybe it's technology, maybe it's magic. Or maybe it's both. I wonder if it will ever be possible to persuade the train to tell us?

I like to hope so, but the train will have to do that in it's own time.

True. And the train takes its time telling us anything at all.

Which given what we know so far there is a decent reason at least to me anyway.

I suppose with the train's history, it has a hard time trusting anyone. Even us, its passengers and its Void Warriors.

Exactly, but I think with times it will trust us.

Maybe so. Although I'm wondering how much time? Is there something it is waiting for us to do that would cause it to trust us more? I think the train knows more about future missions than we do, and perhaps there is some mission task we will perform in the future or some risk we will take that will prove to the train that we are on its side.

I mean there must be some way it knows what world needs help, so I will agree with you for that, but... yeah not knowing what exactly we need to do to get them to trust us.

But I get the feeling it would be something major.

Obviously, there is a means by which the train receives requests for help. And that means must involve receiving messages while the train is in the Void, so it's clearly a trans-Void kind of transmission. I would SO like to know how that works!

And as for the Voidtrecker Express trusting us, maybe we'll get lucky and the train will tell us what that thing is, that something major that would convince it that we are trustworthy.

I wish we could find out how. Like if there are waves or something. I think we could learn so much if we could.

The natures of the multiverse, the universes, and the Void are such mysteries. But the transmissions through the Void must be waves of energy, though we don't know what kind. Maybe the train will be willing to trust us with that knowledge, at some point. As I was saying, maybe after we convince it that we are trustworthy.
