If we haven't met yet, my name's Jake. Jake Peralta, your clues guy. I'm down to poke things with sticks and solve mysteries! Sooner we figure out what the train's entire deal is, where we're going and all that, the better, right? But in the meantime, I thought it'd be fun to get to know my new squad!

Anyways, I was wondering if anyone would be down to play a little Earth game called Never Have I Ever. How it works is you say something totally cool, or weird, or boring that you haven't done. And anybody who has done it has to take a drink. Unfortunately, I'm as broke here as I was back home, so I can't supply the booze. And we should probably be setting a good example, right?

So just drink whatever you have! Be that water, juice, milk, coffee...or if you happen to have a proper adult beverage on you, go ahead and drink responsibly. You ready? Great, I'll start: never have I ever gone skydiving!

[He'd had a rough time controlling his intangibility just after getting his powers. In addition to multiple trips down the stairs when his feet suddenly started sinking into the stair treads, he'd also dropped 37 beakers through his hands and gotten banned from life from handling school property. ]

Pass then. I'd run out of soda.

I've gotten better! You try not falling when the ground won't stay solid. Also I'd totally have to count all the times the direction ghosts were throwing me happened to be down the stairs. Or through them.

It is not a judgment call, I assure you. And I would hardly count you being assaulted in this.

Huh. So that takes maybe... fifty times off?

I wouldn't really call it assault though. There was just a while where ghosts were picking a lot of fights inside my house.

[It is a light, joking tone that belies the sheer amount of what the hell that Siebren is thinking. There is engaging in combat, and then there is being continually thrown down the stairs. He's beginning to think he may need to keep an eye on Danny.]

Does your world not have exorcists?

[If it has ghosts, then that's a legitimate question.]

If we do have any, I don't want to be anywhere near them. Like, I don't actually want to find out what would happen if someone tried to exorcise me? I have enough trouble with all the ghost hunters talking about how they want to destroy and/or experiment on me.

Fair enough. Do ghosts still pick fights in your house?

Not as much since my parents upgraded the anti-ghost security system? But some of them are stubborn. And Skulker is really into sneak attacks.
