If we haven't met yet, my name's Jake. Jake Peralta, your clues guy. I'm down to poke things with sticks and solve mysteries! Sooner we figure out what the train's entire deal is, where we're going and all that, the better, right? But in the meantime, I thought it'd be fun to get to know my new squad!

Anyways, I was wondering if anyone would be down to play a little Earth game called Never Have I Ever. How it works is you say something totally cool, or weird, or boring that you haven't done. And anybody who has done it has to take a drink. Unfortunately, I'm as broke here as I was back home, so I can't supply the booze. And we should probably be setting a good example, right?

So just drink whatever you have! Be that water, juice, milk, coffee...or if you happen to have a proper adult beverage on you, go ahead and drink responsibly. You ready? Great, I'll start: never have I ever gone skydiving!

Nothing remarkable, let's just say when you're taking an 80 kilometre walk across southern Japan in the future, there are a lot of cliffs and mountains that may or may not have been there before.

Not exactly. I'm, uh...part of a team that can get involved in some dangerous situations, so we train our abilities to make sure we can handle situations. Some of the training are physical exercises, like rock climbing.

Scaling frozen cliffs was still easier training than climbing a few hundred stairs while carrying Momo-chan on my back, though. He was so heavy.

Momo-chan was my friend! And he was um... six-foot-eight, and about two hundred and seventy pounds...

Oh well, I have. Me and my brothers used to go rock climbing down in the canyon downhill from our home city, or up on the mountain that was to the south of it. Our parents thought it was dangerous, but we did it anyway. And they never grounded us for that.

Eva, did you mention this because you secretly want to go rock climbing, or because it just seemed like a wildly improbably thing for you to ever do?

Exactly. She'd be anxious if anybody got hurt, or if anybody even could have gotten hurt, but she wouldn't punish us for that. She'd just express her love and affection.
