I've yet to introduce myself and that's rather rude, isn't it? I'm Yakushi Kabuto, and I do believe I am one of the newest additions to the... medical types on this train. I do have a background in medicine of various types, primarily dealing with chakra healing, though I also have a science background. Primarily having used it in an attempt to heal some of the more deadly diseases we've seen back home. Unfortunately, it tends to not work out, but at least they didn't suffer in their final moments. [A flat out lie as every single one he'd dealt with was to keep them alive to figure out how to either cure or make them useful for a suicide mission. But that's hardly something he's about to give away.]

Either way, I am also a shinobi back home and have experience in battle if need be, as well as being a rather effective field medic. I'm particularly easy to find on the field, usually dressed like this or you may see me looking a little... different. I am a sage, you see, which means I have made connections with some of the more powerful creatures back home, in my case snakes, which shows in my appearance when I activate my "sage mode", as it were. As I said, I'm not difficult to spot while like that.

But do feel free to ask me questions or come by the medical area if you do need it. My methods do not require direct physical contact, if that is something that is a dealbreaker for you.

How many techniques do you have, that rely on none?

As far as I am aware, it seems that it is. At least in the capacity I am familiar with. [Though... that's an interesting question.]

Now that would depend on what needs to be done. While I may use chakra to heal, what it essentially does is just get the body to heal itself faster. It really doesn't change anything if the person does or does not have access to chakra, if that makes sense? But I know how to mend wounds and the like with more... material means, if that's a problem.

I... can't say that I've taught before. But depending on how much you know, I may be able to do something. [Though he does wonder about something. Not everyone can use chakra, certainly, but it's just life energy at the end of the day...]

Given the nature of chakra itself, perhaps it's something that might be tapped into even outside of my world. It's merely life energy of a fashion, you see, and I have been able to manipulate the flow of it in others before, so it might be worth a bit of an experiment. It wouldn't be painful, I can assure you that much.

Mm. I would say that I know basics, but 'basics' are standards that vary between locations.

[Now, chakra though. Kiyoiri nods on the other end of the ICP.] I would be willing to try that; it would be good to see how things interact with magic circuits, though if 'chakra' is life energy, it's definitely different from 'mana'.

You did have a first aid kit, so I would consider knowing how to use that as rather basic. [He's done much worse and used much worse, but she still has a leg up on most people. A little sad, really.]

Mana? [Hm. Well, if she's really keen on trying, then who is he to say no to a good experiment? It also lets him focus on doing something rather than letting his mind wander to less savory experiments he could be doing. This is rather benign.]

Magic circuits may end up being around the same thing, but we shall see in due time. If we have enough time between these... missions, or what-have-you, then we could start whenever you're ready to.

Mm. Also known as magical energy- one's magic circuits determine how much can be produced as well as how much can be harnessed. To that end... ...my friends and I, we trained toward our 'focus' and 'origin'- the form of magic easiest for us, to most utilize what few we have.

If these translate well to 'chakra', it will be interesting to see the results though...

I was told missions are typically once monthly, so this is probably a good time. We should have time to recover if anything goes wrong...

Huh. Well I don't really know what most of that stuff is, but I guess its good to have more people who know their way around a first aid kit on board.

I... a first aid kit is basic knowledge that every child should know how to use at this point. But, yes, I suppose knowing... more about it than just that would help. [Thanks for making him extremely concerned about the level of medical he's working with.]

Honestly, there's no need for most of what's in that kit with what I can do. Quicker and more efficient.

Oh, the changing my appearance bit? It, ah, it took quite some time. The way things turned out for me, the way I ended up there, there was a lot of prep work before becoming a sage properly. Though the actual trials to prove my worth didn't take that long.

The dragons, or snakes really, are a rather finicky bunch compared to most.
