VIDEO|CW: ZOMBIE RELATED STUFF

Alright. Alright. One of those opinion posts.

[For those that don't know Murphy, the man on the screen outright just looks likes Voltaire wet dream, complete with red skin, Satan aesthetic, black suit with a red shirt and he's got the voice of a story-telling podcaster.]

Moral Quandary Time! Where do you draw the line in killing people? Are you a 'no, never' person? A 'only in self-defense person'? A 'the world'd be better without this person' person? Maybe even a 'You killed my father, prepare to die!' type. Or, maybe? All it would take is something that'll line your pockets.

Maybe the setting counts. Somewhere like my world, where billions of undead roam hungry and the living trample each other to survive. Definitely one where even the softest heart would be hard-pressed to stay their hand. Or you go to one of those colorful, magical places where the grass looks like astroturf and there are rainbows with no clouds. But you found out all the cute, adorable fuzzy things there were slowly going to cause the extinction of five other species.

This isn't just a question about murder philosophy. Missions are tough and some just want to help and some of us are desensitized. You might need someone who can easily do what you'd struggle with. Then again, you might need someone with a little more patience so you don't snap someone's neck.

[Murphy withholds the question about whether someone would rather him get information one way or the other if it came down to a choice. He'll wait on that one 'cause he's sure the initial answer would be, 'I would rather you do neither.]

Also hello to the new people! Hiiii. Yeah. You might get mindfucked. There's a lot of that recently. I'm sure someone else with a healthy dose of PTSD can fill you in on how that went.

[Kiyoiri is quiet, merely nodding for a moment. What he's saying makes sense- all of it makes sense, really.] ...there are lots of factors that can affect things. ...that's why the definition of a 'coward' relies on ignoring all of them.

[That aside.] When a person has left a significant mark on history, their soul is entered into the 'Throne of Heroes', a part of the root of all life and magic. From this, a sufficiently powered mage can seek to call on their help, drawing a projection of that soul into reality to fight for their purposes. ...in a way...being entered into the throne could 'just happen'...

...But summoning is always 'because' of something, even if it's from the world itself...

[kiyoiri voice] 'and don't get me started on Jeanne D'Arc Archer, or Jeanne D'Arc Alter Santa Lily,'

[Another example...hm.]

Jeanne D'Arc in life was one who, at the time of her activity, a divisive force in France; a hero to those she helped, but one who was effectively offered as tribute by her own country at the end of the war. It's been noted by another, [Cough, Jeanne D'Arc Alter, Cough] That the attitudes of someone who fought and died in this way at the stake, would have had at least some anger to it.

Jeanne D'Arc as a Heroic Spirit however, represents the idealized 'Saint', carrying a banner of protection; the symbol of the holy maiden, with little else. ...Personally, she's very nice, but as far as the Jeanne of history, she cannot be the same.

[The answer comes bluntly.] Summoning itself is related to the mages or the need of the world...from there...the needs, and the objects used to channel determine who answers...

...but no matter how you summoned Heroic Spirit Jeanne D'Arc, she would be the woman I described; because that is the prevailing 'idea' that humanity and history has now put down.

[No amount of astrology, choice of summoner, or otherwise, decides it; they're at the very whims of how the majority of history has Decided they are.]

That would be close, at least.

[Um,] ...The stakes are higher than 'rock 'em sock 'em', but yes.

[And....] ...Yes, definitely. [It's an observation on her end as well. There's been some wild shit going down.]

Believe it or not, the battles are typically kept hidden from the public.... ...but, there are definitely betting pools.

[Unfortunately.]
