[ He's a bit bored. Forgive him for seeking to use others to entertain himself a bit. ]

Tell me a story. Real or fake. About you, about others, about a random bird you found and followed for three days. I don't care. I'm bored and I'd like to hear some stories I don't already know.

Once, many years ago, a wealthy man and his five sons settled in a quiet village at the foot of a mountain. They were six of many, for the village had lost many residents to a great war and had thus thrown open its doors to any who wished to come.

But where most other newcomers were happy to set up a house and a plot of land, this family came seeking rumors of hidden treasures that once been owned by the dead villagers. For the father was arrogant and greedy, and his sons had inherited the trait threefold.

Months passed, and eventually their searches bore fruit. An old tool came into their possession, a gem shaped like a tuning fork that showed hidden troves, and they used it's power to discover the hidden secrets of the first villagers. The family's wealth grew and grew until they were the first family of the town, with a great house on the central square richer than that of any knight of the king's.

But the wealth did not content them. And as they used their tuning fork more, their desire to use it still became even greater- even as using it began to make their hands ache with pain.
