[It's been a couple of days since this particular revelation, and Xehanort has thought on it long and hard and .... still needs better information.]

I have been told that there's several people onboard who keep their pets in balls about the size of a fist. ....If you happen to have one of these, I would very much like to see how it works. Would someone be willing to help?

Do you have some kind of scientific background or a casual interest?

I have a scientific background, yes, but it is more of a casual interest; I won't be desperately miserable if I can't find out what I'd like, merley disappointed. The capacity of these little objects is, even on simply hearing about it, astounding! I've seen people make use of extradimensional pockets before, but always through magic, not technology.

[On the dubious bright side it doesn't sound like he's interested in the pokemon themselves ... just the pokeballs.]

Yeah, it's more like something that would be in a video game or a fantasy setting. Kind of like a bag of holding but only for one specific creature instead of an infinite amount of items. If we could utilize that technology for other things it would be really useful.

That's precisely what I'm hoping might be the eventual end result! Sure, I've heard others here have proper 'bags of holding' or even access to alternate dimensions through spellcraft, but that's hardly useful or convenient for anyone else.

[But that's two different responses treating it like he was asking for something super personal, not a ball. Maybe they're merely being protective of their pets, which he has no interest in at all.

Once I've a better understanding of even what these objects are, I may venture into asking if someone's willing to make a resource trade and see if the train will supply me a ball that I can freely study without making anyone bizarrely anxious.
