[Video] Merriment 20

So this might confuse the new arrivals, but I'm still thinking about our last mission. That entity that we fought, the one called Chaos. How much did we actually find out about them?

Did we get any concrete information on where they came from or what they were? I know they were saying a bunch of stuff about Diagnet and the Void, but it was all sorta jumbled? Not that I'm too surprised... If I were to guess, whatever they were, they weren't immune to Voidsickness.

[Dairine has clearly bene ruminating on this one for a while.]

I... have theories, but it'd probably be better to check the facts first.

Anyone wanna share with the class?

They're upset at other worlds for existing while Diagad doesn't.

[Sera, explain please.]

...Midway through the mission, I went with Elidibus, Roland Crane, and Wei Wuxian to try and talk to Chaos. During the talk we asked to see what happened to Diagad, and they showed us. It was a lot to see, but the basics of it is that there was no warning for Diagad, Chaos has been alone in the void with their trauma for a while, and they were probably taking it out on other worlds when we encountered them before.

I can give a more in depth explanation if you want.

Oh, I agree that they were mad at us. We kept interfering in their actions, which had to have stung after everything that already happened to them.

[As for the request to describe it in more detail, well, she can do that. Just give her a moment to get her words together to describe it.]

As I said, I was in a group with Elidibus, Wei Wuxian, and Roland Crane, and we were trying to talk to Chaos in the Congress District. They kept comparing their whole Diagad setup to a play when spoken to, and eventually we asked to see what happened to Diagad. Of course, they showed us.

We were put in the roles of some people putting on an outdoor play, and everything seemed normal at first. Then these things - dark shapes, couldn't tell what - appeared in the sky, darkening it, and people started to panic as everything went black and claustrophobic.

After that, I think it was what Chaos went through post destruction? There were void colours everywhere, the voices of what I assume were those lost, it felt like I was being ripped apart, that the void was a prison and time had no meaning. And there was anger at other worlds for continuing to exist even after Diagad was destroyed, that they were unworthy.

[It's one heck of a story.]
