So why's it fine if someone's a jerk about me, but not you? [ What is this logic, what is it! Tidus knows it comes from a place of having issues, but it exasperates him to hear in this instance, of where Inigo is placing himself on the level of importance compared to his friends. ]

If you can deserve me, you should defend yourself too! Come on, man, you need to stand up for yourself more. Do for you what I'd do for you! Size them up, and if you think you can take them, punch an asshole!

Inigo knows that's the answer. The obvious one. Because people can call him a crybaby, or weak, or someone desperate for attention, and they'd be right. But they wouldn't be right when it comes to Tidus, so that's when Inigo would defend him.

It's not the right thing to say in the presence of Tidus of all people though, who'd rather just physically shake every single hint of insecurity out of Inigo, so he swallows the words right up before he can even say them - though it still leaves him looking a little dispirited. ]

But despite Inigo's belief in what he said, he still visibly gulps when Tidus suddenly takes out that fist. ]

Because instead Inigo just moves. Standing up. Getting away. If Tidus just happens to be sitting right in the direction Inigo has to flee in, then he'll just climb over a table or whatever, okay. He has no shame. (Not right now, anyway.)

He'll go anywhere, as long as it means getting away from that fist. ]

[ Inigo absolutely has to climb over him - or the table, which the sight of gets an amazed scoff out of Tidus, but he isn't about to grab the guy's legs and trip him over.

But just to make sure that Inigo keeps running, he makes a show of getting up from his seat, slamming a hand against the table while there's a fist in view. ]

I'm coming to GET you, you BULLY!

[ But please continue to run away so Tidus doesn't actually have to pretend to run. ]

[ Monkey Inigo mode, GO.

Though monkey Tidus mode might just have to activate too. Sure, Inigo keeps running at first, but once he's at the door to the next carriage, he stops. And turns around.

And that's when he spots Tidus still standing there - which makes Inigo decide that this is a safe distance away from the other. Nowhere near enough to let the other plow that fist into his face. ]

If you're beating me up, that makes you the bully, you know..!

[ Oh? Stopping there, are you, Inigo? ]

Calling me dumb, Inigo?! [ Because he might be stood here, but you know what both of them know reaches a great distance?

The water ball Tidus is making as he raises a hand, growing in size as he pulls it back... ]

Except Inigo only wishes he could be that cool about this situation. Of course he can't be. He sees that water ball, and he already knows where this is going, and he hates his dumb friends with dumb magic powers bullying a guy who's only got a sword--

Though he knows he can't linger on that thought and stand there forever, or risk getting absolutely soaked, so Inigo quickly dives out of the way, behind one of the seats. ]

[ YOU IGNORANT SLUT.

IT'S SPLASH TIME.

[ Fear the call, Inigo, as it rings out through the carriage, and the further apprehension it brings. As in any second, any moment, you will hear the sound of a magical ball of water thrown as a projectile and flying in your direction, the grand splash of water and the debris of it that will hit you despite your best attempts...!

Annny second now?

Actually, new wait: on how long it will take Inigo to come out from under the table. If it takes more than a few seconds, Tidus will move up the tables himself, climbing over the couches and going from the angle of a big kid than using the aisle itself.

So he can plop himself - quietly - on top of Inigo's table. In wait.

Or he'll be sitting cross-legged on his original table. Either way, he'll be waiting, with the kind of smile on his face that you know is waiting to burst into a laugh. ]

[flatteries]

[ Inigo definitely isn't coming out. He doesn't care how long it takes. He will restart his life, living only right here, behind this seat, for the rest of his entire life..!

But just as he's gathering all of that determination together in his mind, he realises that the carriage suddenly became quiet. Too quiet. No carriage can be this quiet when it has Tidus in it!

So Inigo finally peeks his head out, and when he spots the other just sitting there, his head shoots up - managing to knock itself against the bottom of the table as he does so.

Sweet Naga, that's going to give him a headache for the rest of the day, isn't it. But it doesn't stop him from calling out to the other guy with a: ]

What are you doing?!

[ Tidus isn't even letting out a hearty laugh, but he can't stop this chuckling behind his mouth, hearing that thud under him and then the flustered guy below him. Oh hi there, Inigo. ]

What? [ He leans forward, arms on his lap, not close to the edge but capable of seeing Inigo. ]

What do you think I'm doing?

[ tidus is this cat right now. ]

[ There are now officially too many Tidus cats in this world. ]

[ This would probably sound a little more intimidating if Inigo didn't look super flustered..

.. or if he wasn't rubbing his head from the way he hit it against the table just now while he's fully getting back up to his feet. ]

And now you're sitting above me! [ He points at Tidus. ] Explain yourself..!

[ Time for a cool move.

Time for him to lower his head, balling his hands in a fist with his elbows propped against his knees.

And the smuggest face continuing to be worn as he remarks: ]

But even as to the punch part-- ]

You were being super intense about it! [ .. Inigo's definition of 'super intense' may have been a little skewed by his flight or fight instinct, but he sounds pretty convinced of his own words as he says them now, looking at the other and his smug - actually punchable! - face. ] What else was I supposed to think?!

Trust that I wouldn't punch you? [ Maybe?? ] But I'm glad you didn't!

[ He laughs with that, tickled to his soul, the one guy here having fun. This was meant to be about buying things. ]

I know I tell you this all the time, but have more confidence in yourself, you know? We're not dumb. We're fine! And if anyone says any differently-

[ He takes away his chin support, waving a fist in the air. ]

[ Inigo knows that he's going to feel dumb anyway. That he can't just stop or ignore the voice in the back of his mind. It's not something he can just walk away from, compared to the way he could just walk away from other people.

But what's the use in saying that? Tidus knows it. It'll just take them right around in circles.

So Inigo doesn't mention it. Instead he raises up to his full height, releasing a sigh. ]

Yeah, yeah. I'll stick to ignoring them.

[ There, he thinks. Just leave it at that. ]

You stick to taking people's suggestions. I'm pretty sure there are people waiting for you to listen to their suggestions while you're too busy messing around with me.

And I got a few ideas already... guess I'll just buy one of those arcade machines. Madoka's getting pottery wheels, and the bouncy castle...
