[ Della's face pops up looking... well, like everyone else - exhausted physically, mentally, and emotionally. She smacks her beak a bit, before speaking. ]

... So. That sucked.

[ Fully aware that's the understatement of the century, Della draws a breath, and tries again. ]

I think we could all use a nice, long breather after everything... and, gosh darn it, as Train Mom, that is my sacred duty. Hugs? Head on the lap? Head-pats telling you that you did a good job? A shoulder to cry on? Venting out all your feelings without judgement? I'm right here.

[ She slaps her chest, then slaps a small sign on on the sports/gym car. It reads

EXHAUST PILE WITHIN

But as she does this, Tidus enters the scene - Della jumps, surprised, almost forgetting his presence.

He just smiles, holding up two cups with steam coming off them, then addresses the video feed as well. ]

We're also making big batches of cocoa too. Any of you that're gonna stress bake? There's room for that room - s'long as you don't need a nap first.

[ It's a small chide though, his smile small but sympathetic. ]

I've gotten out some incense pots from the supplies - you guys who got your head thrown into a blender by that aash-- uh, that jerk, [ he takes a swift glance at Della, then back ] --it'll help you relax. Just some, but better than nothin'. I'll set some off in Momma Duck's air nest, but if you're not doing great and you think you need a pot? Tell me. Raven made a lot of good stuff for good nights sleep if you need any in the medcar, too.

... So, yes. Cocoa. Incense. Hugging. And if you want to sleep with friends for a couple nights, we got air beds and extra pillows in here. Nobody has to get up and go until they feel ready.

And if that's not enough, that's fine too. Maybe next month we do something a little more organized, if you have any suggestions - movie night, sleepover night, big eat night, whatever, I'm listening. And I'm here for you.

And inside the sports gym, the pair can be found. They have a few airbeds blown up, but there's more that still need airing up if you pop in straight after their message. There's also a tremendous amount of pillows. If you want to help, get blowing, and make these airbeds look nice and comfy!

The transgate from the standard coach has mysteriously been moved to the sports gym's outer hallway. Who did that? But it makes it easier to bring in the cups of hot chocolate from the kitchens, and for anyone who wants to bring snacks to do so. Take a seat, remember to bring your sleeping bag and whatever else you want. Plushes, your own musical instrument to offer some de-stress medication of your own with a melody.

And there's an area where small incense pots burn away, a gentle mist rising up. It won't heal the mind completely, but it will offer it some peace. And if you're worried about nightmares, a few of Raven's sachets and teas are available.

So come get a mom hug. Come and offer hugs. Just come and get something out of the company, whatever it is. Tidus and Della - and others - will be here to give a hand.

Leia nodded. "It's the only way spacecraft and communications are able to travel around the galaxy as easily as they do," she said. "There's also a species of space-dwelling animals call purrgil who are able to enter hyperspace naturally. Some people believe they were the inspiration behind the development of hyperdrives to begin with."

"Sound fast!" It's a simple assessment, but it's not untrue, right. Granted, he barely gets still what hyperspace is, but nevermind that. "Always wonder what my planet could do, before we lost all our technology. We used to have some pretty cool cities back in the day, but I don't know if we did anything with space!"

He leans back some, at least slouching his back. "But, I guess if we'd been talking to different planets like everyone else does, they would have noticed when we stopped going up and seeing them."

Leia nodded and took a careful sip of her cocoa, smiling slightly when she found it the perfect temperature for drinking. "Yes, a whole world suddenly losing contact with the rest of the galaxy isn't generally the sort of thing that can go unnoticed," she said. "Though if you don't mind my asking, how did your world lose its technology?"

"Mhhr," he grumbles, a wrinkle of his nose. "A stupid war, back a thousand years ago. People used magic before machines started to be built, and the people who could use magic and couldn't started bumping heads. A war broke out, and the machine side was winning, 'til the summoners left made a giant fiend that went around destroying everything."

He waves out a hand. "Long story short, a bunch of people made everyone believe the fiend was punishment for using machines, so they outlawed them, and anyone who used them were treated bad. Which were an entire group of people who didn't believe their religion."

She frowned a bit. Of course it would be something like that. Not that losing it due to some sort of natural disaster or outside force would be much better, but at least they stood less chance of creating a deliberately marginalized group like the one he described.

"It certainly sounds stupid," she said. "If those who could use magic were being discriminated against, they certainly had a right to protest, but not to create what amounts to a living weapon to destroy anyone they disagreed with. Or to discriminate against those with different beliefs than themselves."

He shakes his head, mouth pursing as his brow dips. "It was dumb, but everyone on that side figured that using any machina would mean they'd never make up for having it in the first place. It doesn't excuse them, but-" a sigh, and a quicker shake of his head. "--everyone was being lied to from the top."

Tidus pauses, before sharing on a lighter note, "But they got rid of the fiend finally a few years back, so now they don't need to worry about it anymore. And hopefully, people are being better about the Al Bhed! They know their way around technology better than anyone in Spira!"

Leia frowned around a sip of her cocoa. "That's an unfortunately familiar scenario," she said, regarding people being lied to from the top. "But I'm glad things have improved, for both the world and hopefully the Al Bhed. It sounds like they'll be more needed, but being needed doesn't always equal being respected."

"Well, people better start respecting them!" Tidus huffs, but confidently. "If they want the experts to help them out, these guys deserve it. Spira owes them a lot, that's for sure."

He says it all with full confident, certainty, seeing the loss and destruction the Al Bhed had to go through first hand. If any of the people in Spira deserved some extra sympathy, it was them - and the Ronso.

"But I heard things had been going pretty easy. 'Least... in some version of Spira?" He sighs, shaking his head a little. "Ugh, all this... being from different of the same worlds thing is weird."

"Here's hoping the people of Spira agree with you," Leia said, lifting her cocoa briefly as if in a toast. In her own experience, it could go either way; old prejudices were often difficult to get rid of. But for Tidus' sake and theirs, she hoped things would work out for the best.

The bit about different versions of worlds made her chuckle slightly though. "It certainly is that. To date, I've met relatives of mine from at least three different versions of my galaxy."
