Day 19, Voice to Train

Red's on bedroom and common area cleaning, so... you know the drill. Someone needs to let us into the cabins after lunch today if there's no-one Red in your room. That's... 1-B, 2-A, 2-E, 3-A and 3-B we're gonna need access to.

If you're Red and you don't have a common area assignment yet... Stop stalling and pick one.

[ Though it's not like they can force it if you don't, so, whatever. ]

[She'll probably just read or something, and then move around as she needs to to not get in anyone's way.]

[ She's joking, mostly. None of the rooms have been outright terrible, just... messy. ]

Most of us are pretty clean--okay let's be real, I'm probably the worst. [Considering she's rooming with Madoka, a child soldier, and a mystic.] I'll do a bit of pre-cleaning, and get my laundry together. That'll make things easier on you guys.

I'd appreciate it. If you want your sheets changed, leave those out too.

[ knock knock, it's your old roomie. She's got a wheelie suitcase full of clean, neatly folded bedclothes and a broom and if anyone comments on it she's going to stick the broom somewhere genuinely unfortunate.

[ Gwen is a neat and organized girl, and when Light arrives, Gwen has everything as promised. She even took the time to strip everyone elses sheets, too. Why not? It's not like they can't do it? But she was here. She gives Lightning a big grin when she sees her. ]

Hey, former roomie. How's your room without the Spider-teens in it?

[ Gwen is a wonderful person for doing this and there's genuine surprise - relief, really - in Light's eyes when she sees the state of the room. She even gets a slight smile and a nod in return.

She also gets an armful of fresh bedding, but, you know. Efficiency. ]

Jury's still out, but it's different. What's it like in car three?

It's interesting. I'm living with Miles, Peter and Peter's aunt.

[ So that's three Spider-Kids in one room with an adult. Who to feel sorry for, the teenagers or Aunt May. ]

Aunt May's are terrifying ladies across the multiverse, so I'm really doing my best to keep myself in line.

[ She's a little jealous they have friends and family, actually, but she tries not to let it show. ]

I can let you in my room miss, I tidied it already but you can come and check if you want. Mister Wade is red but I don't know if he's in our room at the moment. [And as far as Romeo knows Wade has never done a chore ever.]

[ Huh, initiative. That's so refreshing. Also, she has no idea if Wade's done a single chore either, so he's in her mental section along with Tony where she just considers them nonentities for this. ]

I'll believe you. Do you need new sheets?

[It's a good point! He had forgotten about those. There's a lot to remember in cleaning!]

It probably will! So far I've been on laundry duty, and this month, cooking. So what's left? Two kinds of cleaning.

For Red Team or for Orange Team! I think the idea is that if we rotate duties, nobody will get bored. But i'm guessing that we'll all eventually get bored anyway.

[Raven's fighting the urge to add 'don't touch my stuff'. She doesn't have anything dangerous, yet. Just used to her space and not happy with someone else potentially handling her 'space'.]

I'm not used to having to share a room, much less such small space. It's been a bit of an adjustment.

Yes. I presumed laundry was still done the normal way, but there isn't a barrel or washboard to be found.

[ If she'd been fresh from Cocoon, there'd be judgement. But she's spent time in the world of battle and then two months on the train, neither of which place contains more than ten people who know what a washing machine is at any given time. So. Less judgement. ]

Get someone from Blue team to show you, since that's meant to be their job this month.
