llama 16, video + action
[ Hello, ICP video. There's a Tidus sitting on the computer chair in the standard coach when the image pops up, waving up a hand to the screen. ]
Hey, 'sup everyone! I got some stuff from the last mission with Inigo and Dennis that we wanna share with the rest of the train. Some computer tablets, VR glasses, goggles - hey Seto! You can do somethin' with those, right? - and some clothes and whatever else we could get our hands on.
Nothin' like books or music or food. Sorry! But if you like lamps or fans, we got those. [ Ahahaha. ] Oh yeah, and some first aid kits too, if any of the teams want 'em for supplies. And speaking of, Jane told me about these bacta bandages thingies they use where she's from. Like some kind of healing...gel you can sit over wounds? Uh, I got a book on it for an easier time understanding the stuff.
Annnyway, [ moving alooong, ] there's something I wanted to talk about with the last mission and those illusions. I know there's people who know how to work with tech or magic, usually one or the other... well, I don't know anything about making things, but I know there's a lot you can do with the right tools and know-how. And there was some magic and gear that could push back on the illusions. Like a bracer I have, and one of the spells on the manadrives!
I was talkin' with Q'uila - she's a blacksmith that works with enchanting. And I know there's this big chunky book on magic and magitek in the library. Uhh, I've never read it [ because NO THANKS ] but I didn't know if we could... do something? To help with these missions? Create some kinda...I don't know, big barriers when we turn them on, that don't need magic folk casting them! Put our heads and resources together and make somethin' cool!
[ Cool magitek science junk!! ]
A-anyway! [ Because he realises he's really reaching here-! ] If anyone's interested, I'm fine if you wanna check out the bracer that helped with the illusions - even if you need to take it apart. And I know Senku's been checking out the manadrives - that has a magic barrier spell too, and Light got manuals on the things. And I got some other gems and protection gear from my world too! If it'll help. Never know, right?
'kay, well - see you!
[ ACTION: standard coach ]
[ And for those of you who come into the standard coach, either because of the message or just because you were passing through, Tidus has taken up a table with a bunch of...everything on the table. Tablets, pens, folded clothes in different sizes, cute toys and ...cubes?.
And Tidus is sat taking up an entire booth couch, legs folded and playing a handheld game.
Let's play shop. ]

I ordered some practice locks an' cuffs. I figured not every mission would have amiable citizenry. [He's also worried about the Ministry. That, mostly, in fact.] I'll expand in the future but I grabbed a variety of skill levels. Even got a magic lock responsive to the magic types from my neck of the woods.

[ Even if it was just 'put his hands on the thing and make it disappear'. He's not a thief type!! ]
But the bracer I've got - that's good, if you don't mind wearing something. It's actually really good for any people to have! It makes barriers against anything, physical or magic. And they can help you heal up if you get hurt. [ Ah- ] Or there's brooches that'll put up barriers if you activate them? But they're a one-use. Still really good! They'll protect people near you too.

[He'd actually acted responsibly, shock of shocks, and only stole mission stuff, though. Shows him for trying to make a good impression on his little hoodlums! Though he does intend to teach them those locks since they have a knack for it.]
I was a Ravager captain. We were an independent fleet of mercenaries an' thieves, workin' outside of the coupla big empires that were around.
What would you be up for tradin' for that kinda thing, since I don't reckon I could order it? Bracers, I mean. Since my coat kinda already has the knife holster on one side seems like it'd be easy to modify.

Trade? Hm, well, I think you should be able to buy it... but what other stuff do you know that you think'd be good for the train? Or for missions? I don't mind ordering more from Spira if there's other gear or items that'd be good for us to have. All the stuff I know, it's just what was around when I was travelling, and I only did it for a couple of months. So coming up with other stuff than armour or a few explosives...
[ He's lacking, so to say. ]
Knowing what a guy who's got experience getting around and being with a crew thinks sounds like it'd be useful!

[He grunts thoughtfully.]
Some of my crew was pretty good. I ran a crew of three-hundred plus. Had a big battle and we switched out a bunch so uh... well I learned a little somethin' about herdin' idiots. Y'all been a hell of a lot smarter than they was. Tried to take note of who was good at what, though. [And little things, like which ones had medical issues or when they needed time off. Seems like a waste now, but at least he's still crew minded and wants to work with people.]

Yeah, there's lot of people with cool skills around. There's inventors, engineers, people who know about everything from their world... there's a guy whose on your team I think who can make things out of nothing? He was making milk for the people on the last mission. Link!
[ Not a bad skill to have around at all. ]
Those masks sound useful though. Would've been great on the last mission!
no subject
[He really could have used one when he went after Ego, too. But he hates the lenses. Wreaks havoc on his eyes. Fine for Terran and Terran-similar types though.]
Sound like a decent trade? I can put in for the mask for next platform, you do the bracers?
I still lose my damn mind every time someone creates a whole object out of nowhere, just pointin' their finger for it. I had a teammate that wasn't too bad at that kinda thing but his specialty was reality bendin'. If I'd asked 'im to make shit all the time he woulda put me on the other side of a mirror or trick me with a magic ass door.
no subject
[ Alas. Maybe milk guy can make some things... ]
Anyway, yeah, sure. See how many you can get of the masks and I'll get the bracer. I think I got two of them for 45 points. You want two? Or just the one?
no subject
[He's got so many reasons currently to work on that thing now, too. Even more than before.]
When I can I'll see if we can order some plants for your greenhouse. Yaro root an' the like. Figure if you wanna switch it up some food you can replenish by growin' it would be handy.
no subject
[ Ah, wait- ] You're not trying to help her be a pilot again, are you?
[ There's a joking note to it, but he can't help but guess. ]
no subject
Trainin' sim to show other people some basics.
[And so he can work on a voidcraft styled console. But that's going to take so much damn research and work.]
no subject
[ Haha. And he'd be sure to check it out just for her, too. Hopefully it gave her something to put her creative juices towards. ]
And, don't worry about the food! I'm uh, not much of a gardening guy. And I hear [ or seen, really ] it's packed in there already; Persephone's been wanting more space for ages now. She helps make more stock for us. She's got a great green thumb! Or pink.
[ More appropriate. ]

Seems young but Quill ended up one of the best pilots out there, an' I taught 'im with a hell of a lot of supervision.
[He's still damn proud of Peter. Though he still doesn't know if he'd be happy with Yondu claiming him as his like this.]
Yeah. I don't know her that well but she was right by me right off the get-go when I showed up an' I wasn't exactly in a real good place. [Pretty much everyone who had been nice to him then, after the worst two days of his whole life, has been permenantly placed in his good books even with minimal contact.]
no subject
But a son, huh! How old's he now? He part of your crew back on your ship?
no subject
[Peter Quill would probably never properly grow up.]
He's on his own now. Got his own crew. And the situation... it is what it is.
[He's not a fan of having no choice, even if they're well kept. It's familiar in a bad way. But there's a lot of people that depend on this place to just stay alive.]
no subject
[ Man he hates whatever the words are for this whole multi-zillion-worlds thing. ]
Good on you, pops.
