[ Hello, ICP video. There's a Tidus sitting on the computer chair in the standard coach when the image pops up, waving up a hand to the screen. ]

Hey, 'sup everyone! I got some stuff from the last mission with Inigo and Dennis that we wanna share with the rest of the train. Some computer tablets, VR glasses, goggles - hey Seto! You can do somethin' with those, right? - and some clothes and whatever else we could get our hands on.

Nothin' like books or music or food. Sorry! But if you like lamps or fans, we got those. [ Ahahaha. ] Oh yeah, and some first aid kits too, if any of the teams want 'em for supplies. And speaking of, Jane told me about these bacta bandages thingies they use where she's from. Like some kind of healing...gel you can sit over wounds? Uh, I got a book on it for an easier time understanding the stuff.

Annnyway, [ moving alooong, ] there's something I wanted to talk about with the last mission and those illusions. I know there's people who know how to work with tech or magic, usually one or the other... well, I don't know anything about making things, but I know there's a lot you can do with the right tools and know-how. And there was some magic and gear that could push back on the illusions. Like a bracer I have, and one of the spells on the manadrives!

I was talkin' with Q'uila - she's a blacksmith that works with enchanting. And I know there's this big chunky book on magic and magitek in the library. Uhh, I've never read it [ because NO THANKS ] but I didn't know if we could... do something? To help with these missions? Create some kinda...I don't know, big barriers when we turn them on, that don't need magic folk casting them! Put our heads and resources together and make somethin' cool!

[ Cool magitek science junk!! ]

A-anyway! [ Because he realises he's really reaching here-! ] If anyone's interested, I'm fine if you wanna check out the bracer that helped with the illusions - even if you need to take it apart. And I know Senku's been checking out the manadrives - that has a magic barrier spell too, and Light got manuals on the things. And I got some other gems and protection gear from my world too! If it'll help. Never know, right?

[ ACTION: standard coach ]

[ And for those of you who come into the standard coach, either because of the message or just because you were passing through, Tidus has taken up a table with a bunch of...everything on the table. Tablets, pens, folded clothes in different sizes, cute toys and ...cubes?.

And Tidus is sat taking up an entire booth couch, legs folded and playing a handheld game.

[His eyes narrow in suspicion, but as usual it is easier to just be pulled along into Tidus' schemes. He looks at the fan, the fan with ears and smiles as Tidus starts to explain how it works.

He knows how fans work of course, but he lets Tidus speak, nodding as he peers at it.]

They will be useful, though the train is never too hot really but sometimes the worlds we go to...

[ TAIKI JUDGMENT BULLET DODGED FOR NOW. ]

Yeah, that's what I was thinking. I was trying to look for lights too - you know, after that mission on Terra? [ He reaches over to the fancy curled lamp; though with it set it off, it probably looks more like an ornament. ] But all I could find was these big ones.

[ Does a place like Kamakan need flashlights?? ]

But hey, you never know what you might like. [ which, speaking of, with a nod towards the folded clothes. ] You should check out some of the clothes, see what you like! We got a bunch of shoes too. Did you like the clothes there?

"I think a lot of what they had there was... just for show." They hadn't had much in terms of practical items. A city that had everything but also nothing. Everything so shallow, just for show.

[He crouches down by the clothes to look through them.]

They are different, very different than what I am used to. [Worlds apart from Tai but also different than anything he had seen in Japan.]

What's the fashion back like in Tai? You said it's cold there, isn't it? Do you wear furs or something?

[ Would a guy like Taiki be alright with furs? Then again, eating habits and keeping warm are two different things. ]

Not so much furs... Though some people do. We wear lots of layers though, and thick outer robes.

[He thinks of how to describe things.] Long robes... If you've seen those from Lan Sizhui's world wearing their own clothes, it's a little like that. Not quite the same...

I think I get it. [ The basic gist of it, anyway. ] A lot of the religious people in Spira wore heavy robes too. Well, most of the everyday people were light on the clothing with the weather...

[ For the most part. But, more importantly! ] You miss that kind of clothing? Or do you like this kind of look we have going on here?

I guess... What we wear here is more like the clothes in Japan. So I am more used to this style. The clothes in Tai are very nice but they take a lot of effort, to get dressed I mean. The sort of clothes we wore in court I couldn't even put on by myself.

[ Not a possible 'get Taiki to treat himself with robes' plan? Oh well! Tidus still chuckles some. ]

Like those real fancy clothes you see people wear in the movies with the elaborate patterns and trails? I wouldn't mind seeing you in one of those!

[ Eheh. ] Think I'd look good in court clothes?

I guess so. [He nodded, smiling slightly and then his nod grew more enthusiastic.] I do. You would look very good in them.

[It's not as if he would even think anything else.]

[ That puts some cheer in Tidus to think about, a guy like him in one of those fancy-schmancy courts! - though he'd probably not really like it, but it's the thought that counts, right?

He moves to take one of the simple tablet devices from the tablet, though, there's only a pair sitting around (there's a lot of stuff to showcase, after all). ]

Hey, how about one of these? You know how to use computers, right? You'd know how to use this. It might have an art program on it.

[ Can he sell any of these goodies to Taiki?? Time will only tell. ]

Oh. Um the computers on my world were very different... When I was using the tablet you gave to Roland even that was stranger than I knew but I can look...

[Art on a computer? That seemed... Very difficult. At least to make look good in any way but he knows the computers in that world were so much more advanced so he pokes the screen cautiously to look at what programs it has.]

Oh yeah, I saw the two of you poking at that during the meeting. [ Aha. ] That's one way to get him using it. [ Via Taiki. ] Did you like it? I can get you one! I don't think this one is voice activated...

[ But Taiki can have a poke and a prod, see what he finds. There's no rush, and Tidus won't guide Taiki the entire way through. It's not like he checked out all of the tablets they nicked. ]

You don't have to. [He shook his head. Sometimes Tidus was little over enthusiastic in giving people things.

It would never not be overwhelming.] Oh I think I found the art...

[At least this looks like it might be, he presses the icon and waits for it to load up.]

[ Let him treat you, Taiki!!!

But the news get a small 'oh?', and Tidus looks about at the stuff on the table, picks up one of the e-pens and hands it over. ]

Try this on it - you press the top to get it working, then just mess with it on the screen. It should sync up!

Oh. Thank you. [He took the pen, turning it on. Pens that synced to computers? It's all a bit strange but he waited a moment until it synced up and then drew a line carefully.]

It works!

There we go! [ Success! ] Have a play with it! 'less you got somewhere to be. But you can take it with you if you do, see what it's like.

[ Tidus trusted Taiki, after all. If he didn't like it, he wouldn't keep it. The bigger problem was making him keep it if he did, or even might. ]

I've got nowhere to be...

[He did a few pen strokes and then was quiet for a little while. It was smooth and easy to sketch a few lines.

He looked up, smiling at Tidus.] Do you think you can stand still long enough for me to draw you?

[It's an honest question. Can Tidus stand still?]

[ Oh, drawing him? Tidus takes a look around, and then plops himself down on the edge of one of the booth seats. ]

What about like this? Is sitting good too? I'll even keep my head still!

[ He's absolutely going to forget to do that a few times. But he figures it's easier not to get as twitchy if he's sitting! ]

That's perfect.

[He smiled nervously but Tidus didn't seem too put out by being asked to sit still, so that's fine.

It's just going to be a quick sketch after all, nothing too fancy.

It takes him a moment to get used to drawing, it's very different than pencil and paper but soon a definitive Tidus shape is taking hold.]

[ Well, this is...different.

It's even different from the photoshoots he had to take back home, but at least he has some experience with needing to hold still for them. ...a lot less longer than what he's going to have to do here, but! You know! Practice?? practice! ]

Do you do as much drawing back home? I mean - I guess you don't get able to, with the court and all. But in your down time? What's that like?

Do you have to be a kirin in court?

[ please let him talk if he can't twitch ]

I drew a lot on earth, but not really when I got back to Tai. I was too busy.

[How could he sit and draw when there was so much to do.]

The last few months, after I got back from earth, after I went back to the palace. I was mostly... We were contained to one of the palaces, not quite prisoners but also very much so. I spent most my time trying to persuade ministers to help the people, because winter was closing in, but I couldn't... I wasn't much use.

[His tone is sad, but he is still drawing.]

What happened? [ His head twitches in that urge to look over at Taiki, but remembering the pose that he's supposed to be holding - and still, he moves his head a tiny bit so he can rest his eyes on the other guy. Remembering at that time, an event that had been buried away in his mind. ]

Was it...you and Lord Gyousou being kept kept inside?

No. [He shook his head, glancing up only to check the part he is drawing next before dropping them again to the tablet.]

Lord Gyousou was still lost. I didn't see him again until just before we ended up here. I was... I was trying to help Tai. I didn't do a very good job of it though.

[He had put a lot of people in danger and now he was here, safe, having left them in Asan's clutches.]
