[It had been a while since the party and it seems like a mission has happened since then. So Kairi had some time to at least think about a conversation she had with someone at that party and it made her a tiny bit curious. So she figured why not speak to everyone and see what others think.]

If I told you about a fruit that legend has it that if two people share one, their destinies will become intertwined meaning that no matter what happens they will always meet each other again. What would you think about this fruit?

I know that people might have worries about losing those they care about, so if this was something that was true would you want that?

Also if you shared it with someone who would it be?

I'd say it's possible. In my world, there are Poms of Power...

[ He shuffles a bit to grab a pomegranate to show her. ]

These can increase the effectiveness of godly boons, and I hope they could do the same for someone's power.

As for the other part, I would share it with...

[ Thanatos's cheeks turn a little golden with what he was about to admit aloud. No no no. He cannot do that. But nngh... now what? Mort then squeaks from his spot inside Thanatos's hood, and that gives Thanatos an idea to salvage his thoughts away from his initial Zagreus answer. ]

I'd share it with Mort. He's been lost before, and I'd like to know we'll always meet again.

Pom of power that increases effectiveness of godly boons... Though is it okay to ask about what a Boon is. Also have you tried them on someone who isn't a god?

[Because she was honestly curious as to how such things would work. But she sits there happily as she watches the other. It seems like he was at least going to answer her second question it seemed like. She didn't know who it would be but she was curious once more.

[ The last mission wasn't about raw power and fighting, so he ended up not giving any to anyone. ]

I don't know how Mort got lost the first time. He was always with me....

[ Mort squeaks guiltily, like there's a secret he has but doesn't want to say. Thanatos will still give the little mouse some pets. ]

It sounds like a nice sentiment? But that's the kind of thing that usually ends up with me fighting a new ghost and questioning all my afterlife decisions.

It's meant to be, but I can see how it could cause bad things to happen to.

Well to be fair, in my world legends like that tend to be ghost items. And they almost always have some kind of awful side effect. Or they give you exactly what you wish for in the worst possible way.

In the worst possible way? Like it gives you the wish but there more to it which isn't good kind of way?

"More or less. And it wasn't just objects. Like I know a genie ghost who got power by granting wishes, so she would hide in the human world and wait for someone to make a wish near her. And then she would grant it in a way that would make sure to hurt the person who made the wish."

Danny grimaces.

"That kind of taught me to never ever make wishes out loud. One time one of my friends was mad at me and said that she wished she'd never met me. And there was Desiree, just waiting for the chance to wipe my memory."

I would consider it. There are people in my life that I would want to see again.

[But Hordak would be her first choice and he's not here.]

Well... The most important one isn't here. So I couldn't share it if I only could here.

His name is Hordak, and I lost him once. I had to look for a long time to get him back. He was my first real science friend- he was my first friend to tell me that I was better than people normally said I was.

He's honest and upfront about what he wants. He's exceptionally creative [you know, with making weapons and building an empire and making his own goth villain aesthetic but that counts to her] and he's notably different in a way I really like.

I miss him. A lot. All the time. I wish he could meet some of the people here. He'd have made so many friends.

[Kairi happily sat and listened, hearing about the person they really liked. She could at least tell how much they cared for him at least and he sounded like a nice person and someone she would have liked to meet as well.]

He sounds like a really interesting person and I'm sorry he isn't here. But I'm sure he would be happy to see the friends you've made here too.

I would hope so! I think my friends are excellent people... well, not always ethically but sometimes you have to get past that to build the foundations of trust and improve someone's ability to socialize.

[Sometimes she's friends with bad people but she understands bad people can't become good people without friends.]

I think it's a cool idea! But if you can only share it with one other person, I'd have to pass; there's three people I'd want to share one with, and only one of them is on the train. Wouldn't be fair, you know?

Though this reminds me... you know that lucky charm you've got? If I could get a hold of some seashells, do you think you could show me how to make them? Xion loves seashells, see, and I'd like to make something special for her and I to share.

Unfortunately, I would have no way of knowing if it's just one person or not. It's just a legend after all.

[Not something she would have a way of knowing the fact of it all really. She herself would like to think it was possible due to its shape and such, but still... Would require a lot of them at best.]

Makes sense though, you have a lot of special people you'd want to share one with. [She soon nodded slightly.]

Yeah, the item I had upon arrival? I can show you how I made it when you get the shells. You'll find it's pretty easy and fun to do.

[Lea nods. If is indeed two people per fruit, then figuring out how many would be needed to connect four different people all too each other would require a bit of math, but safe to say it would be a lot of fruit.

What he has in mind would be far better for him and Xion. And much easier to add more people onto later.]

Great, thanks! Is there anything we'll need besides the shells? I guessing probably some string or wire and something to poke holes in the shells without breaking them?

That is pretty much it. But to poke the holes you'll need something that can do that but won't break the shell.

But otherwise the list you had there is right, string and shells. It's pretty simple when you hear the list really.

We'd probably have to go through utensils and stuff in the kitchens to see if there's anything there that would work. What kind of thing did you use?

I... yeah. I mean, I think that's already kind of happened with my boyfriend, but... yeah. I'd want that.

I know I'm almost definitely going to outlive him... I just want to make sure I can see him before the end. We're from different worlds.

... Fate's a real thing where I'm from. We're from two worlds, but given how Fate likes to pull people together and then apart for dramatic effect, I don't doubt that I'll see him again.
