Video | Llama, Day 1
Soo… [ Hello, everyone, hopefully you’re ready to witness a train scolding by Bulma Briefs. She’s frowning pretty deeply, seemingly glaring off at something out of the frame of vision she provides, but considering the fact that she’s clearly on the train, and with a few context clues..
It’s the wall to engineering. Prepare for a scolding, ]
… Here’s a question, why is it that you can’t get one of these double rooms until you’ve been here three months, but you can’t control how long you’re even here for?
[ The pitch and volume of her voice grows as she’s speaking, the words eeking out a bit higher, a bit louder with each one she gets past her lips. Of course, her friends and family likely know where this is headed, but Bulma doesn’t think to issue a warning about her own temper or ear-splitting volume.
There’s that smile Vegeta gets before she aiming an open hand at him, the kind that says she’s trying to hold back just how loud her voice wants to get but she is absolutely, utterly, and completely about to fail -
RIP headphone users, as some may say. ]
SO HOW THE HELL IS THAT FAIR?! WHAT AM I SUPPOSED TO DO, JUST SIT AROUND LIKE AN AWKWARD TEENAGER FOR ANOTHER TWO MONTHS IN MY ROOM FULL OF THEM!? SPEND ALL MY POINTS TO GET SOMETHING THAT ISN’T EVEN AS GOOD AS WHAT WE CAME FROM?!
[ Look, kids, she doesn’t mind you, but she does have a husband that she’d like some more alone time with than a few stolen coffee mornings when he isn’t training. It’s almost worse than when he’s off training to have each other so close at hand but lacking every bit of privacy.
The wall to Engineering gets a kick somewhere along the way, the sound denoting some force, but not a great deal, before there’s a yip of pain as Bulma hops on one foot. ]
SON OF A-
[ Thankfully the connection drops off there, though.. It’s possible the whole train can hear her anyway. ]

...There's one less of us, does that help in the slightest?
And I know how to stay out. Believe me, I have zero interest in being in the way.

That's not the point. [ Bulma makes a flicking motion with her hand as if to dismiss the thought that anyone should have to uproot for reasons from the place they sleep and live. ]
The point is, you can't offer shit like this and place a time frame on it when we don't control the time frame we're here for.
[ She pauses, then, growling : ] That's fine. I don't have to invent a damn thing for this junk heap.

[ This isn't exactly his problem with it, his problem is that Yugi is Gone, but...]
Of course it would do something like that. Then what was the point of it all, except to irritate both the couples and the single people? Save for the select few?
no subject
You know, I don't really expect a lot of perks out of marriage, but you would think a married couple would at least get a pass. [ Of course, who knows if she and Vegeta are actually legally married considering he's an alien, but that's beside the point. ]
Either way, rewarding people for being held against their will longer than other people is also pretty bullshit.
Video
So they don't even have an exemption for married couples? That's some bullshit, man.
no subject
Apparently not. [ She's still annoyed about it - still thinking about the b est way to find her way through this wall even if it means injuring that very strong slapping hand in the effort for it. ]
Just means I won't bother to possibly ungrade this hunk of junk.
no subject
[A long pause.]
I, uh...might have something that could help? At least a little?

If you're talking curtains, I've got those. [ It's a matter of getting Vegeta to stop being a baby about it, really. Of course she doesn't really blame him on one hand - she, too, wants a private space for the two of them. But in the meantime...
They're just going to have to struggle through it. ]
But it isn't only about curtain-required activities at this point. You can't even steal a quiet moment in a damn stairwell.
no subject
Well, it was worth asking. If you want, I can second a request in the suggestion box.
no subject
I'll be joining you on that one.
Of all things, I never thought I'd ever have to ask anyone for privileges since I'm married. Least of all from the train that kidnapped me in the first place. [ She's going to be huffing about it until it gets fixed, that's mostly for sure. ]

You think I haven't already? [ Devero, please. What Bulma wants, Bulma gets, but it's not quite the same as having a living space together. They've been together for 13 or so years at this point, so it isn't all physicality, but even the little bit of quiet time they can't have together is getting frustrating at this point. ]
It's bullshit to place a timeline on something you don't control. So for all this smart, void hopping crap this train is pretty thick in all actuality.

The AI that pilots this train has some really severe limitations, that's for sure. It'd be interesting if it wasn't also so annoying. [He huffs.]
no subject
I'm used to long separations for training and things, but it's not.. you know. We're not right there in front of each other either.
[ She thinks if anyone has to stare at Vegeta's ass in tight fabric for long enough they, too, would want more than a room with curtains. Surely she isn't alone in this. ]
The AI here would be poked full of holes in a couple seconds by my tween if he were here. Hell, he could probably program a better AI at this point.
no subject
[He brings a hand up to seesaw through the air.] I wouldn't be so sure. I have a suspicion that the processing load on this thing is-- is magnitudes beyond what we can imagine. I think that's why so many of the other functions are stripped down they way they are.
[A beat.] ...Then again, you'd probably have a better idea than I would what kind of programming goes into the computer for a trans-dimensional vehicle, wouldn't you?

Action
It's not too long after her video cuts off that Vegeta appears in the doorway of the engineering room, one hand holding an ice pack for her foot, the other some coffee to maybe sooth her temper a bit. He offers both out silently, letting her pick which one she wanted first.]
no subject
[ Bulma's still, obviously, in a mood by the time Vegeta arrives. But he knows her well enough to arrive with something to help her toes, and something to soothe her shitty mood all at the same time. She sighs, looking at her options for a few moments before she reaches for the ice pack first.
Toeing her shoe off she settles the ice pack over her toes before reaching for the coffee. ]
So much for doing anything to upgrade this damn train.

"Maybe should had gone for the lab option instead." He had been considering it, not for him, but Vegeta knew she would had liked it. He then left out a huff between his teeth, almost a 'tsk' but with more force. "Then again, if this is anything to go by it would just be a new table in here or something."
no subject
"I don't know.. a little intelligence? Sense?!" She really should know better than to trust AI that she doesn't program to have intelligent, reliable thought, and yet here she is anyways, pissed off and annoyed about it anyway. Still, she thinks Vegeta, of all people, will understand why she's so damn frustrated. For a couple that's so used to having their own private space and time... this isn't all that usual for them.
"Right?" She laughs lightly at the thought, sighing heavily. Who knew what the hell they would have ended up with had they chosen the lab instead of this stupid bedroom option. And here she'd been so hopeful about the double room option in the first place...
"Trunks could program a better AI at this point."
no subject
The lack of availability for permanent duo rooms was a let down, but he was sure he also heard of another option. "Wasn't there also mention of a hotel form of the rooms?"

[ Even though she was dating Peter, she hadn't really thought about getting a double room for herself (at least not seriously). But people who were married should have gotten first dibs, no matter how long they'd been here. ]
...are you okay?
[ That last kick looked like it really hurt. ]
no subject
I'm fine. [ Just got her feelings a bit bruised more than anything. Of course, if she's managed to actually damage anything she'll never hear the end of it from Vegeta. As he tells her again and again, she's fragile and needs to remember as much. ]
I don't even care if a single person wants one, really - it just seems stupid to have this whole huzzah over double rooms and then make them subject to something that you don't even control as someone this damn train has brought on without your permission in the first place.

You and I both. The one time I wanted perks out of marrying a Prince and a train full of ancient tech can't even give it to me.
