Hallo! I'm the Doctor. [she scrunches her nose] Sorry if that's awkward for some people. [she'd deal with that later]

But! Well! That was a bit of a question, wasn't it? What will make us happy. I mean, avoiding the existentiality of it because that is a broad spectrum requiring much deep thought and lots of poor decision making skills--

There are a lot of choices, and I don't know how to choose.

A lab would be nice. More labs. All the labs. A pool. Love a good pool. Good for barbeques and catching your falling wife from a fifty foot drop. ... er... that might be awkward too. Sorry. Plants. Could always use more of those. Double rooms well-- I'd rather be able to stay up as late as I like.

But clocks! Now, clocks are intriguing. What does that mean? Does it mean a room with clocks? Does it mean clocks throughout the train? And what kind of clocks? Wall clocks? Grandfather Clocks? Kicksey-Winseys? I had a Kicksey-Winsey once made by ...Bloody Stupid Johnson, I think is name was. Never did tell the time but every hour on the hour it would hunt you down and give you a boot in the rear. A great way to get things done if you get settled in one particular task.

Oh but I like art, and I love games.

D'you think I can choose all of them?

I think we deserve all of them.

I'm building a robot under climbing equipment in the gym. So I know which one I chose. I really need that lab space to work.

It would have been nice to put a second favorite.

Yeah, there's a lot of good stuff there. For me, it was more of a question of picking the thing I really wanted most, or something I figured was more likely to win out. I ended up picking art, because that's what I really wanted out of the various options, but as I understand it, 'art' has come up as an option every single time the train has done one of these polls, and it hasn't won yet. And it looks like that'll probably happen again; it seems like a toss up between a lab and double rooms at this point, but these polls tend to stick around for a few days, so we'll see.

[He shrugs. Really any of them would be nice, so he won't complain no matter what ultimately wins out.]

Also? I'd like to thank you for the mental image of a clock that kicks you in the butt every hour, because that's kind of hilarious and awesome.

Ohh brilliant. I love a good robot. What are you using? What is its purpose? Is it something simple like a roomba or an android? Do you need a second? Can I come see it? I won't touch I promise.

Art is never a bad idea. I enjoy it myself. [she shows her blue, glittery hands to the camera.] I will be shining for decades. Isn't it great?

And you think it's hilarious until you have to wear pillows in your trousers, and my trousers at the time were not made for them. A bit foppish in my appearance at that point but I got over it mostly.

Yeah! Sure. She's going to be a training and protection robot. Her name is Claudette.

She's not going to be an android-type, though. I've only just finished some of her structure. But I have a plan for her personality! Plus I ordered some equipment.

I built a chores bot as soon as I got here. [Because she's a Princess, and not very good at chores.]

[Lea laughs a bit at the glitter.]

You probably won't be the only one. Glitter doesn't have the nickname 'craft herpes' for nothing. Though at least now I know why the some of the seats in the standard car looked unusually sparkly today.

As for the butt-kicking clock, since it presumably only goes after its owner, the answer to that is to give it as a gag-gift to somebody you don't like. Or to one of your friends, if you think they'll appreciate the humor in it.

I picked the lab. It sounded the most useful of the options and wasn't something we already had something similar. It did pain me to not select art though.

The clocks option though, I was curious about that. The music carriage is basically a giant music classroom so I can't help but admit I'm curious what clocks would be.

I think that giving all of them at once might dull the novelty of each singular addition. And also that the ability to choose gives us a certain feeling of control over our environment.

Clever. You must be good with your hands. I think we'll get on. [she beams] May I come see? Do you have time?

Really? That's an awful name innit? I think something like craft pox or something like that. I mean it's the same thing when you get right down to it but pox is a lot more fun to say. Plus you can say: 'a pox upon ye' and throw a glitter bomb at someone. [not that she's done this. It's on her list of things to do]

You presume wrong. The Kicksey-Winsey knows no master. It goes after whomever it pleases. Teagan wasn't happy about it but it did defeat a whole squadron of Salurians so it's got something going for it. Wish I hadn't lost it in the wilds but you win some you lose some.

Yeah I like the lab too. Though that depends on what they mean by lab. Is it fully stocked or just table space? Is there a place for experiments that explode? All good labs need blast shielding. Just saying.

But clocks, yeah, that's what I'm curious about too. What does it mean? What does it entail? Even if it's just a boatload of clocks its-- [she gestures broadly with her hands] A boatload of clocks! A trainload of clocks? A carful? Anyway a lot of them maybe! Ticking away in their dance of time.... A sort of endless waltz.

[she considers this a moment]

I need to write that down. I know I left a marker somewhere. [don't mind her as she disappears under the table]

It's all psychological innit? Have to keep them entertained. Something to look forward to. It's a ploy to keep everyone complacent. Whether or not there's good intentions behind it or bad if they can and they won't then there's something behind it.

[a shrug]

Not really sure what to make of them or it yet. But you never can be really sure, can you?

Sure. Just let me get to the gym. I tried to do an experiment in the quiet car and caused a teeny tiny explosion and now I have t clean that up. Seriously just teeny tiny. Give me about ten minutes.

They didn't mention barbeques on the list. [Trust him, if it had something to do with food, Vegeta would had noticed it on the list.]

And I know about teeny explosions. One minute you're fine, the next you're picking shrapnel out of your-- out of you. Happens.

There's not exactly a suitable location for manufacturing such things on this train, nor a source to gain materials for it. Unless you're suggesting just wishing for items to magically appear out of thin air, as that is hardly practical. [Not without the Dragon Balls at least...]

Well, it'll be an adventure, won't it? To see what we can put together. We can't rely on the train to always bring us what we want. It takes ingenuity, thinking on your feet, the willingness to say I want this thing so let's see what we can do to make it happen.
