Kazoo Day 19
[It is Entrapta, and she's had a strangely difficult past two weeks. But she's doing what she can to cope, and she copes with obscene amounts of productivity.]
First, I have a couple of big favors to ask! I'm working on a project to supply mission teams with a couple of healing snipers and a few healing grenades per team. If your world has access to healing potions that could help with this or plants that can be used for them, contact me! Maybe we can work out some item trades or something!
Our non-magic users definitely need the option to help out, and from a distance, if they have to.
Second, I want to work on security monitoring for rooms for people with sensitive items. While we're mostly a trustworthy crew, considering how Void activity can influence our minds having some sort of security system for cabins might help, even if it's only optional.
I'm planning on consulting with a few of my friends on that but if you have tech experience and are interested, please get back to me!
[She'll have to hit up a few people. It's important to be there for Kaiba after what happened, and taking the weight off him for this is the least she can do. If her face is on it, along with all her other projects, then it's less like he's challenging someone to get by him. Her friend just wants to be safe!]
Also would anyone mind if I use the corner of the gym car to start putting together my robot skeleton? I promise I'll keep it behind the climbing rack and out of the way. I just don't want to crowd the quiet car.
[Oh oh before she forgets!]
AhhhhA! Tidus! Roland! I need to talk to you two, too! I have ideas. And I got some stuff to help.

What kind of security system?

I've got a few ideas, but maybe they'd be better to share in person.
I'm in the gym working on Claudette!

[She's very happy about Claudette happening, yo.]
no subject
Still, it'll make its way towards the gym, hoodie pulled up over its head as it looks for the rather...unique figure]

Hi! I'm Entrapta! But in person this time.
[Just so it knows. Whatever she's making has a bipedal frame like a dinosaur's.]
I'm glad you came! I didn't want to say everything over the network because measures need to be a little difficult to bipass.
Oh! Someone asked me to help them with another project that might be relevant to your communications interests. But I'll come around to that. [Entrapta wants to deal with this first. Security is more crucial for her friend's sake]
no subject
We can be heard, anyway.
[But.]
What were you planning?
no subject
I do have supplies, but my skills at motion sensors are limited to what I could produce in my world with Dryl and Horde tech. I definitely want experienced suggestions and design elements.

[She pulls out her journal and brings it around to show Murderbot. There are little papers and designs sticking out from the pages.]
I've drawn out the layout of an average cabin here. Above the door feels like optimal aesthetically balanced room placement but considering that there are bunk beds and that means sensory blind spots, it might work better lower somehow.
no subject
...what do you mean, 'blind spots'? Depending on what you're using to trigger the sensor, it can reach throughout the room. Something that constantly emits a low-level pulse...
[Don't mind it trailing off, uncertain if it should go in to technobabble]
no subject
[She offers him the journal with her hands and a pencil with her hair so he can write something if he wants.]
VAGUEHANDS
Problem is, while it knows enough to jury-rig repairs to such, it...generally doesn't build such things on its own. It taps the pencil against the paper, frowning slightly]
...worst case, I can reprogram some sort of pulse-radar, if someone has the tech that can do that.
FAKE SCIENCE \o/
[She offers pretty confidently. She builds from scratch pretty often, and she knows some other people she could consult, too.]
I know someone who can teleport and she could probably help us with testing.
[Meanwhile her hair behind her starts pulling a few items out of her toolbox and putting them beside of Claudette's skeleton.]
no subject
[It's gonna ask]
Can everyone do that, where you're from?
no subject
[She forgets, sometimes, that people aren't used to her and her oddities. And by sometimes, one means all the time.]
no subject
[Also just gonna lightly reach out and see if there's any active programming there yet- or even something capable of receiving/transmitting. It's kind of expecting this to be the dumb kind of 'bot, but you never know]
no subject
[She just rolls with it. She would like to know what it was curious about, but at the same time she's really excited about this project. Even if it's not been programmed.]
Yeah, I wanted to build a training bot to help out at the gym. I'm modeling her off the concept of pet fighting monsters. They enjoy a symbiotic relationship with people in which mutual care is given while further developing programming through engaging and observing combat! So she'll be receiving some form of positive input from her interactions.
I'm also going to equip her with a piece of first one's tech to repair damage. That way even if I end up being sent away from the train, she'll be okay!
[And she hugs this nonfunctional, not nearly done structure of a being because she's so happy to be doing it.]
I love her and she's not even been born yet... [She whispers happily.]
no subject
Pet?}
Is she going to be advanced enough to think for herself?
[And if so- what if she doesn't want to fight? But- Murderbot doesn't bring that up, not yet, anyway. It's still dealing with the concept of it having its own rights (thanks, Dr. Mensah), it's not about to champion another bot's.]
no subject
[She pats her structural side.]
And there are enough technicians on this train that I'm sure even if I couldn't make it in time, someone would! Hopefully it won't come to that, though. I'm going to give her lots of ways she can have fun with people.
no subject
Okay.
[...]
I think she'll be happy you care.
[Boy that sounds dumb]
no subject
[She doesn't seem to think it sounds dumb.]
Oh, have I showed you Sandra yet? She's somewhere... Oh right, I had things to discuss.
[She's so excited she's veering way off topic.]
no subject
Wait.]
Raised by-? [That's. That's uncommon. It knows that there's bot 'nurseries', so to speak, but- the other way around?
Murderbot actually blinks in surprise]
-right. We were talking about security. I'll let you know when I have some code for you to look over, I just need the hardware to start with.
no subject
[People were breaking a lot of Helpmates during that mission.]
My parents left me two robots to take care of me while they were gone. They didn't make it home. [She doesn't explain what happened beyond that.] So they helped raise me. My entire castle is filled with robots now.
