 Hey, my train trekkers, my main men, my wonderful women, my koo-koo kids, and everyone and everything else in-between! This is Della Duck, reporting to you live from her cabin with a chance to feel super good about yourself! First, a bit of background info. In my world, there's an organization called - drumroll, please - theeeee...

[ She holds up a slightly tattered and worn-out book with several post-it notes on almost every page. ] 

Junior Woodchucks! The BEST group ever for kids to learn all the skills under the sun and prepare them for all of life's challenges and beyond! When you accomplished something major, you earned a badge! And, no big surprise, I earned a lot of them when I was that age. And I feel like you all have accomplished SO MUCH! Whether here on the train, back home, or in other worlds we've been to, you've all got a lot to be proud of!

With that in mind, I decided to make you guys the Junior Woodchuck Badges you all deserved!  I'll be going all around the train and handing them out!  Even if you're a total stranger, I want to hear the things you're proud of! Because there are things we should all feel great about ourselves!

For example!

[ She fishes out some of the badges she's already made, and shows them one by one. ] 

The first time you made a campfire! Or, making a new dish that's actually edible! Or putting out someone else's campfire that went wildly out of control! Master of treating injuries, making twenty friends, craftsman extraordinaire... And if what you're proud of doesn't exist in the guidebook, then phooey, I'll make it up myself! BECAUSE YOU ALL NEED TO LOVE YOURSELVES A LOT MORE!

... A-hem. See you around, guys!

Not too shabby! But why tell you, when you can be a part of it and experience it yourself?

[ She flashes a grin, pretty darn pleased. ]

Now, tell me what you're proud of!

[ Honestly, she probably should've figured. And it shouldn't mean much, since she'd never been a Girl Scout, but something about possibly getting a badge was still touching. ]

Uh, let's see... [ She thinks, but it only takes a moment before she grins. ] Well, I guess I gotta say my powers. [ When she has control of them, at least. ]

[sos_pilot]

That'll do!

[ She digs around, and out pops a badge with an image of a gift on it, full of... hearts and explosives. ]

The Great Gift To All badge! Because your unique powers are one thing - but it's HOW you use them that counts! You totally could've gone down the villain route, but instead you continuously make the choice to do the right thing!

[goingthroughaphase]

[ In all fairness, Kitty knows that doing the right thing is always...well, the right thing to do, and that it shouldn't be done for a reward or acknowledgement. And really, the badge is such a little thing anyway, so it shouldn't be a big deal.

But sometimes it was just...nice to hear someone else say it.

So with a touched smile, she takes the badge. ] Aww, thank you! I actually might need to sew this on my uniform.

[ Happy that Kitty is happy, Della's own smile just gets brighter. ]

I'm just glad you like it. Been at this for a few days now without sleep, so I was kinda worried about the quality...

[goingthroughaphase]

[ Kitty frowns, her expression quickly becoming one of concern. ]

...How many all-nighters did you pull?

[sos_pilot]

Eh, I kinda lost count. Not the first time!

[ She lets out a casual laugh, because surely this is not something deeply worrying. ]

[goingthroughaphase]

[ Della.... ]

Really? Do you, uh...have trouble sleeping sometimes?

[sos_pilot]

Well, when you're stuck on the moon for over ten years with the sunset and sunrise all mixed up, your usual sleep schedule kinda implodes.

[ as always, said wayyy too casually. ]

[goingthroughaphase]

[ Just a bit. ]

Yeah...I guess that makes sense. [ She glances out the nearest window briefly. ] And I guess the void doesn't really help that, huh?

[sos_pilot]

Bingo. To be honest, I'm surprised more of you have a normal sleep schedule, when time is so difficult to tell here.

[goingthroughaphase]

I think having a bit of a schedule helps. Setting time aside for certain things makes it a little easier to keep track of it.

[sos_pilot]

Never been one for them myself. But, really, look at me - is that a big shock?

[goingthroughaphase]

[ Kitty snickers. ] Oh yeah. Total surprise.

[sos_pilot]

Just as I thought. So, don't worry about me! I'm totally fine! You focus on you today, that's what Bade Day is all about!

[goingthroughaphase]

Aww, well thanks. But if that's what today is all about, what about you?

[sos_pilot]

Huh? What about me?

[goingthroughaphase]

Well, I can't really make you a badge, but if today is all about celebrating our achievements, that means we should celebrate yours too.

[sos_pilot]

Aw, c'mon, you don't have to go that far! I'm more than happy seeing everyone's smiles when I hand 'em over!

[goingthroughaphase]

Well that's because you're an awesome person. [ Duck. Whatever. ] But that deserves to be celebrated too.

And I can't get something for you today, but I'm definitely going to make something for you. [ Hopefully. ] And you can't stop me.

[ A little laugh. ]

I doubt I could even try! Well, I do love surprises...!
