[Not long after Jack waged his assault against everyone's good senses, this gloomy shark has found his captain's voice again for a few minutes. He's found the ICP in the dining hall and he's looking irritable.]

For anyone that's not yet vacated to the Quiet Car, I need a speaker system before this train has us on shut-down. Which cuts us a li'l' short on time but I'll be quick about it.

[You know what the great thing is? That rooms have nameplates on them. He's able to find Jack's, and while he does have some sympathy for his neighbors sometimes a few sacrifices gotta be made for the greater good. Carrying the ammunition of a number of songs he came across while checking through the music (the ones that made him suffer in particular) and some cobbled together speakers courtesy of Tannis, Yondu's hanging out in front of Jack's door playing such hits as "Baby Shark" and "The Duck Song".]

Give me the damn flute and I'll go the hell away! [He finally calls, knocking with the side of his fist.]

[Siebren has had much the same idea, especially after a quick jaunt to the music car revealed that Jack had not only not remained there, but had evidently taken every other available recorder with him. The roster provides room numbers, and Siebren simply follows the racket once he enters the sleeper car. He can appreciate a war of attrition, but this is...a lot. He leans in, speaking loud enough for Yondu to hear but hopefully quietly enough not to carry over the music.]

Perhaps finding another occupant to let us in will yield better results.

[Oh it's that dude that was nearly as big as Charlie-27.]

I ain't sure he don't got 'em bound and gagged in there. I reckon we could check the Quiet Car.

[He knocks again.]

Hey Nuts n' Bolts, the next song is by that Tom Jones guy. Best you start thinkin' your next move.

He does not seem malicious - simply an ass. But we cannot rule out the possibility. I will search the train - with any luck, I will return soon with a solution.

[He can't help but smirk at that next comment.]

If the song in question is 'What's New Pussycat,' I recommend playing it multiple times. To my understanding, that increases its effectiveness.

[With that, he sets off down the hall, pausing to look at a public ICP as he goes. Everyone listed in the room seems as though they would be easy to find, and it isn't too long before he comes across one of them.]

Pardon me - you wouldn't happen to be Siobahn, would you?

[Pronounced correctly. One cannot work with Moira without receiving an involuntary crash course in pronunciation, and Siebren had aced his.]

Cherry started out well enough with all of this ruckus - she was accustomed to taking care of toddlers and getting them down from the tops of buildings - but this was starting to try even her patience. Her ears were flat against her head when Siebren found her, her hands covering them to try to keep the noise out. It was not really working.

Her hands only came up from her head when she heard the pardon, her ears lifted when she heard her name pronounced correctly by a voice she didn't know and she looked up at the man it belonged to.

"Um, yes, I'm Siobahn. I mostly go by Cherry because nobody can, um, pronounce my name, but obviously you can..." Her tail swayed with interest. "Um, may I ask your name? And may I help you?"

Success - at least, so far. "My name is Siebren de Kuiper, and yes, I would like to ask you a favor. Would you be so kind as to let me into room 4:E?" Yes, it's her room, and yes, it's a very awkward favor to ask of someone he's just met, but there is a good reason. "It seems the menace with the recorder is holding his concert in there, and I would like to bring it to a swift finale, but I cannot get in without your help."

[ Call it luck or whatever but Peter had left the quiet car to grab some snacks or something and so he just so happens to see the announcement. He's looking a little paler than normal and maybe even slightly green. ]

Uh.. yeah, Mr-Mr Stark made a speaker a few months ago, I'll grab it for you.

[ He voice is also not nearly as enthused because he is suffering a massive migraine now, thanks to some shrill recorder playing and he might be dying, he's pretty sure he's dying. Super Hearing and all. ]

Just drop it off at the music carraige an' then get back to someplace quiet. Maybe take you a garbage can.

I-I'm good. I think It's just-everything's a little too bright and... loud. I can like hear things several cars down so can imagine what a badly played recorder is doing.

[ Honestly, super hearing is fine and all but only until it's not. ]

Don't need to explain. You're talkin' to a guy that's got a piece of sound-sensitive tech wired straight into his skull. An' I've met plenty of guys with good hearin' or have to wear goggles 'cause light's always too bright.

Best to just let 'em take it easy or you ain't gonna like what you deal with later.

I usually have much better control over it-but that-god, that noise is giving me a migraine and my whole face just hurts.

[ Which is causing his stomach to hurt. ]

But yeah, I'll-I'll get you that speaker.

[ And then make a detour to the bathroom. This is rough. ]

Nah.

Not out of any sorta love or kindness towards him, mind you. But there're kids on this train and even if he's a robot I'm not much in the mood to start layin' down corpses near 'em. Even if most of 'em have already seen that kinda thing.

But I am gonna make him give me that instrument or leave his head full of real damn unwanted data. His choice.

[But if he's not human and the kids have already seen similar then what's stopping you--no he's not gonna bother, he's got enough of a headache without thinking about irrelevant details.]

Why not both? Teach him a lesson.

[Because he's trying to break a cycle. Lots of Peter Quill-related guilt still settling on him. And besides-]

'Cause he'll come back anyway, right? Don't this train bring people back? Or did I hear that wrong?

I don't believe anyone has died since I arrived, so there is sadly no way for me to confirm that. But if he can come back, then one could think of it as temporarily silencing a nuisance.
