So... is everything back to normal?

[It was certainly something that happened. But now she does have a lot on her mind and for the time being, Rapunzel was pretty much keeping this to voice. She felt like that was a good idea at the moment at least.]

I want to ask a couple of things. First of all, can those who were affected tell me what exactly happened to you. I know that some were changed into children, but I wanted to see if there was more to it or not.

Second of all. Has the void ever potentially used another's ability to cause something to happen? I'm not sure how to explain the question beyond can the voice mix with another's abilities to cause things like what happened?

I mean.. Odd things happen all the time on this train. Isn't anything possible?

[ Though it's hard to tell just what exactly should be possible here without details. Sure, abilities could probably influence things here on the train, right? It'd just depend on which ability.

And he isn't too sure if she's avoiding saying more because she doesn't want to talk about it, or for some other reason.

So instead he decided to go with the more open question: ] What are you thinking right now?

[ That way she can - at least initially - share just as much as she's comfortable with. ]

I mean, yeah but doesn't it seem to usually have something more to it. Like with the memories people seem to end up connected to those they shared it with.

[It's why this one seemed slightly different to her.]

I'm just thinking that it could be connected to the fact that well... Can we talk in person?

[flatteries]

Of course.

[ There's no hesitation in his answer. If she wants to talk about it in person, he'll be there.

He'll even do it completely on her terms, since Rapunzel seems so unsure. The least he can do then is meet her in the middle. ]

Where should I go?

I'm currently in the music carriage. I was hoping it would relax me a little bit.

[It helped a tiny bit but not enough it seems. Plus she has taken to laying on her hair again and making what was left into a blanket.]

[ There's just a small sound to confirm he's heard the answer, and then Inigo is already off - wasting absolutely no time to head over towards the music carriage. And when he arrives there, Rapunzel is very, very noticable now she has her long hair once more. It's like finding a bundle of hair with a girl rolled up somewhere inside.

He slowly approaches, before squatting down next to her, making sure to not step on the hair. ]

[She waved slightly, being able to free her arm from her current hair blanket before putting it back under again.]

So as you can see why I am asking what I am asking.

Because of the hair?

[ That's quite a change, after all. He glances at the sheer amount of it before his gaze lands on Rapunzel's face again. ]

Did that just.. appear out of nowhere? At the same time as everyone else seemed to change?

Basically. Someone mentioned seeing gold as well before all of this so... I could just be paranoid but I really don't get it.

[flatteries]

[ He can understand not getting it. It's a weird thing, after all. It was so significant that Rapunzel lost all of her hair like that, he still remembers her seeming kind of upset about it.

And now it's suddenly back? Just over night? ]

I mean.. Who's to say that the same thing that's happening to a lot of people here isn't just happening to you as well?

[ It doesn't mean Rapunzel has to be the cause of it. ]

I saw multiple people who suddenly got back things or healed in some way. Maybe that's what happened with your hair too.

Maybe, but did those other things also stay?

[Because that could resolve things at least, if yes then maybe that was the case, but if it was no then it meant something else.]

[ That is a good question.

Inigo actually checks. Usually he wouldn't do it in front of her, but just to make sure-- he slips his hoodie just a little off his shoulder to see the skin underneath. If Rapunzel is looking, she'll be able to see it too - a huge mark on his shoulder, an old deep scar, like a claw sank its way into there.

Spotting it, Inigo's smile turns a little wry, and he pulls his hoodie back up. ]

Guess not. But maybe it varies from person to person. I mean.. a whole lot of people had very different things about them change.

[Rapunzel is at least being polite and turning her head away, or at least making use of her hair to cover her face. Soon afterward she removed it.]

Maybe. I mean I know others were affected in different ways, but so far it seems like most have gone back to normal.

[flatteries]

How about over the network? [ Since she did send out that message, right? It's the whole reason they're talking right now. ]

Did anyone tell you whether or not the changes about them reversed? I know Roland was affected by it, but he seems normal again too now.. [ Inigo hums, clearly thinking. ] But we can't be sure until we know whether or not everyone but you went back to how they were before.

[ Until then Rapunzel could just happen to be an outlier together with a potential handful of other people. ]

It seems like for the most part that is the case. Someone mentioned gold at some point before everything happened though, which seemed different.

[That was about all the information that she had for the most part.]

Gold?

[ He repeats the word, before he goes quiet for a moment to consider it. ]

As in.. the colour? Or the metal? [ Inigo is assuming the former, since it seems weird to suddenly see bars of gold lying around the train out of the blue. ]

The colour. I think if it had been the other it would have been more obvious since there would be gold in places.

[And then there would of course be a whole lot of questions about that. But hey if it had been a thing one can only wonder what could have been done with it.]

So that seemed like something.

A gold colour.. [ Inigo still isn't too sure how that could be around. Did people start seeing stuff in golden colours? Did they just see.. a golden haze in the air..? Who knows. Without having seen it himself, it's kind of hard to determine.

But he shoves that thought aside for now. It doesn't feel like it could lead to anything productive right now. ]

Could that have something to do with you then?

[ Well, Rapunzel is blonde, but that isn't really gold. ]

I don't know. It depends on the gold. I mean when I sing the song my hair glows and could be considered gold, maybe?

[She couldn't say if that was the exact case really.]

[flatteries]

Hold on a second.

[ He turns to look at her, surprise on his face. ]

Your hair glows.. when you sing? [ She says it so easily too! So casually! It's completely baffling Inigo. ] Is that a normal thing where you're from?

[ Because it sure as heck isn't normal in Ylisse! ]

Well it did, yes and it was normal for me anyway. Mother couldn't do something like I could, but she always made sure it was well taken care of.

[For the fact that it gave her eternal youth and such.]

[flatteries]

[ Argh. Right. Of course -- Rapunzel never saw much of the world, so there's no way she'd be able to know if it was normal or not, right? Especially when her frame of reference was just literally one other person.. ]

Well, I've never seen it back in Ylisse before. [ He says, quickly smiling to cover up any and all awkwardness about his mistake. ] So it was a little surprising to me.

[ But now there's no way to tell whether it's unique to Rapunzel, or just a local thing where she's from. ]

I wouldn't worry too much about it though. I mean.. the whole golden thing could still be a coincidence, right? I'm sure that plenty of people here have some connection to that colour!

Yeah, I mean it seems like something like this is extremely rare that was what I was told and that it had to be protected.

[So it made Rapunzel think that in fact odds were it was just her.] Still had no way of knowing for sure, but still.]

I mean yes. But do they have connections to making people younger?

[flatteries]

[ He slowly releases a breath. ]

Like you said, you could also just be paranoid, you know. [ Not that he doesn't get it. He fusses too, all the time. Often too much. But still.. ]

Even if it had something to do with you, it's over now. I wouldn't worry too much about it.

[She will just do it in private and inwardly instead.]

I guess I must be paranoid.
