And knowing what he does about the guy, Roland's certain he's not saying these things lightly, or because he wants to make anyone feel better. Senku believes in it with his entirety, and there's nothing more that could possibly resonate with Roland than that. It's enough of a declaration to allow him a moment to break, smiling a little with an upwards tug of the corner of his mouth.

The real work has really yet to begin, and he has very little time to waste in getting back on track. That this isn't where any of their stories end. It can't be. ]
