[Allen sounded rather awkward to say the least and he honestly felt it. He really had no idea what exactly was going on with him either. It was different but was it a good thing or bad.]

I need to talk to someone about something. It's not medical related, at least I really hope not. I just have something I need help with, that's all.

[He remembered where it was compared to where he was, so he knew it might take him a little while. Once he finally got there and saw her he waved slightly and made his way over. Sure he looks fine, but internally is another matter.]

Hey, Were you reading something before I came?

[ When he arrives, she smiles and returns the wave, closing her book and placing it aside. ]

A little, but it's okay. I can read later. [ Though he's smiling, she can't help feeling a little curious, and a touch concerned. ] So what's going on?

[He went to take a seat before giving off a small sigh.]

Well... a friend I knew from before I came here arrived recently. I.. am happy she is here but when she arrived... I just...seem to act differently. She is a pretty amazing person, so it could just be my admiration, but it feels duifferent.

[ She tilts her head a little. It doesn't sound terrible so far, but there's something about his expression that seems a bit off. ]

So, when you say you act differently around her, how do you act?

I guess the best way to put it was I just seem more awkward.

[Which usually he was always a lot more confident at least that is how he thinks he is like.]

And, um...what do you think about this friend? Like, what's she like?

Well, she's an amazing person. Sure she would tell me off for things, but she did it because she cared and because what I was doing... wasn't exactly great ideas.

But that's because she is a kind and caring person. Sweet and really tough and strong.

She sounds really nice. I bet you like spending a lot of time with her, huh?

I mean yeah. Just like I like spending time with friends when I can.

But do you feel the same about her as you do for your other friends?

[He paused for a moment while he honestly thinks about it.]

I think it is different in minor ways. But still different.

[ Well that's promising. Still might take a bit of work, though. ]

Think you can figure out in what ways it's different with her than with others?

I guess it is something I can think over later.

[ She nods. ] Yeah, take some time to really think about it. How she's different from your other friends, and what she really means to you.

And...maybe talk to her too? That could also help a little.

I think, thinking about it first will be the better options for the moment.

[At least until he can understand everything anyway.]

[ There's a slight frown that crosses her expression, but she doesn't push it for now. She can understand wanting to really understand what you're feeling, though she wonders how well he might recognize what those feelings are.

But it'd be better for him to realize them himself than for someone else to really say, so she lets it go for the moment. ]

Yeah, that's probably for the best.

[he nodded slightly. In his mind, he hoped it was for the best really. He felt like it was something that he honestly had to figure out for himself.]

Have you ever have problems like this before yourself?

Um...I did actually. There was a guy back home that I started hanging out with, but he didn't really get along with my institute friends.

[mynameisallen]

So this is a normal thing people can experience.

[Not that he should really be surprised honestly.]

Though you liked them even if your friends didn't.

Pretty much. And I mean, he was a bit rough around the edges, but...he could be pretty sweet sometimes.

[ Resting her chin in her hand, she sighs softly. ]

It...didn't really work out, though. We were just a bit too different.

I'm sorry to hear that.

[He figured if one is too different then maybe things don't work out, but in Allen';s mind even if he happened to say anything, he probably would still want them as a friend. So he figured he should ask.]

Did you still stay as friends at least?

[ With a sigh, she shakes her head. ]

No. We just couldn't get past those differences. Our teams...our goals just took us in separate directions, and it strained our relationship enough to the point that we couldn't fix it.

I'm sorry to hear that. But... I'm sure you'll find someone whose goals are similar to your own.

[he pretty much wishes that for everyone he knows. To have their happiness.]
