Yeah looking at the void for too long generally isn't a good idea, no matter how fascinating it is. It's like looking at the sun; either way, you don't actually see much and you get a headache.

Though honestly, I'm not sure how much even the Void Ministry knows about the void. Given hows weird and expansive it has to be, I imagine it'd be pretty hard to study in any kind of detail, even if you had the right equipment to do it safely.
