[Sometime after lunch, the day before the next platform stop, Nita makes her next appearance on the Network.

Nita Callahan with Orange Team, here, and I just want to say: if you didn't have to deal with sharing memories while we were on Jema'grethy, you got off easy.

[Have a wry momentary glance, train.]

That said, if you weren't dealing with that, and didn't climb the mountain, there's some important things you'll want to be clued in on. And by 'important' I mean 'important to how and why the Voidtrecker Express got all kinds of screwed up.'

[So... that's a thing.]

I've got transcripts of the memories Enna, Minako, and I received, if you'd rather not experience the memories themselves. Either come see me or Eva if you want those transcripts, or just me if you want a direct memory transfer.

Those who've already seen the memories - what do you think of them, so far? It may sound kind of 'after the fact,' but how are you doing? There were some real heavy matters brought up in them, and if they're at all relevant to what we're going to be dealing with, we'll need to pull ourselves together fast.

That aside: keep what Senku and Ai said in mind when making purchases when our points roll around; one thing you can never have enough of is supplies, and it never hurts to be overprepared.

And that's what we're gonna have to be. Call it instinct, or intuition, or whatever, but it wouldn't be my first time, and I'm pretty sure that applies to a lot of you too.

Nita, I did climb the mountain, but I only received the third memory that belonged to my memory share partner.

I'd like to see that transcript of the memories Enna, Minako, and you received. Or maybe I'll go for the direct memory transfer.

You seem to be implying that you received information that we all need to know because it relates to the Voidtrecker Express and our future. Is that the case? Or am I misunderstanding you?

[Nita's expression is grim; Curufin's hit it right on the money whether he knows it or not.]

I can get you both; come on down to the Standard Coach and I'll get you set, okay?

And no, you didn't misunderstand.

[ Well, this gets his attention pretty fast. ]

I kinda missed that climb, what information did you come by?

[Nita's serious for her part, as well.]

Confirmation that we weren't the first Voidtreckers on this train - and that this train had a homeworld.

As for the rest... it might be best if you come see the transcripts, at least. It's not so much controversial as it is just plain unnerving.

Something you'd need to sit down while processing, if you know what I mean?

[Where she'll have a stack of papers - the transcript - ready, and be sitting in the chair across from them.]

Alright, be right there.

[He makes his way through the busy passengers on the train, mumbling apologizes until he finds his way to the Standard Coach. He looks around for her and spies her out, recognizing her from the video feed.]

Nita, right? I'm Zidane.

[Nita gets up from the table, making to shake his hand.]

Got in one; good to meet you, Zidane - despite, well, how this train seems to get with all of us on it.

[That is, crowded and more than occasionally a headache.]

I've got the written-out version here for you, but if you want a more direct experience I can help with that too; that method won't take more than a second.

[It's just... a lot to digest.]

All right, I'll be there in two minutes!

[ He's there in one. He walks up the isle of the Standard Coach and comes to Nita. ]

Okay, where do we start?

[Nita stands up to greet him, though there's not as much smile on her face today.]

It may be best if I show you the memories themselves; you might see something the three of us missed, and transcriptions aren't the best for that.

[He shakes her hand as he listens to her.]

More direct method? What's that?

[He moves to sit down]

... If you give consent, I can give you the memory.

[Should she go into the more lengthy 'I'm a wizard, and I have experience with this way of communication' explanation? Maybe not.]

Just have to take my hand. And, y'know, give permission.

You can do that? Ok.

[He places one of his hands on the table, palm up.]

Go for it.

[And Nita reaches out for that hand - though she pauses before contact is made.]

One more thing, though; you want all the memories in one shot, or just one at a time?

[Because they were a lot; the last one in particular.]

If you think it'll be overwhelming, one at a time? [He's just met you, Nita, but] I trust your judgement on this one.

[With a wry look on her face, Nita nods, then-

Lowers her hand. The memory Enna had is what comes up first, this time; of losing everything; sensation, emotion, everything except a purpose.

When the memory is through, Nita double-checks on Zidane.]

Let me know when you're ready for the next one. It's not as- singular, as that one was.

"You have memories from the train? I was a bit busy with my own memory stuff, so I must have missed that when it happened. I wouldn't mind seeing them now, though."

[You can bet she's going to stick her nose into this, it's what she does.]

[Zidane's quite surprised that he's not all there anymore. He's seeing the memory and living it. He definitely snaps out of it and gives a little shake of his head.]

I'm fine. [He gives Nita a smile] I don't get what's going on, but maybe it'll make sense after seeing it all.

I'm ready.

[Nita confirms with a nod.]

Come on down to Standard and you can read up on them. Or experience them, if you want a better look that way.

[Nita's relieved that Zidane looks all right, for the most part.

With a nod, she reaches for that second memory - the one she'd received on her own, before ending up in that odd cave.

A mission where, despite the risk, everything went just right. And just in time, too.

She'll let Zidane set the pace again.]

... What did you get from that? What would you say stuck out the most?

[ He smiles at his friend Nita, however. He's glad to see her, even if the occasion isn't what either of them might wish. ]

All right, show me the memories themselves. How do we do this?

"I'm coming now, then."

[It's not long before Masumi shows up, quickly making her way to where Nita was sitting.]

"Alright, I'm here. You said something about 'experiencing' them instead of just going over transcripts?"

[In response, Nita simply holds out her hand.]

You give permission for the transfer, that's all. Though - you want them one-at-a-time, or all together, like a movie?

[The 'breather' option best reflected how they'd been shared in the first place; trying to figure out their true chronological order was guesswork.]

[Nita nods.]

It's something I could do back home, though I've gotten a lot more experience since.

All I need is direct consent, and physical contact.

[Nita holds out a hand palms-up for emphasis.]

If you wanna review the text first, though, that's fine.

[ Wen Qing has been keeping to herself these past weeks but that's enough to catch her attention. ]
