Heya everyone! Last mission got me thinking about supplies some more, and what'd help to have beyond just healing. Plus, things we could be doing before a mission comes up to be prepared, you know?

So food's good to take, plus having some containers to take it in. Water bottles or somethin'--I know we can buy those from the train shop, but newbies can't get them with just three points.

What else do you guys think'd be good? And maybe some of us can prepare food for a mission before it comes up too? Or we can buy somethin' in too that keeps. [ He waves a hand. ]

I know some feel like they're not doing much 'cause they can't fight, so maybe we can come up with some ideas! Plus, you know--these missions aren't just 'bout fighting either. Soo, I just thought it'd be good to talk about.

I don't know about other teams, but I'm way ahead of you. I'm coming up with a mission plan for my team, come time for the next mission.

I'm just thinking across the board, you know? There's stuff we can all do with, no matter the team.

... Showing off...? [Gladio REALLY looks confused now and looks away from the ICP for a second, leaning off to the side, before he pops back up looking a bit more surprised than confused.]

It's a good idea to get everyone prepped. [Gives a sheepish smile and runs a hand through hair that is very much in disarray from having just woken.] Sorry for the misunderstanding.

Hey, it's alright. [ He waves his hands amicably. ] It's good to know your team and have a plan! You're the new Blue Team lead, right?

[ He already knows, but hey, he can understand feeling proud and all. ]

Anything in that plan that'd be a good idea for others? What kind of plan is it anyway?

[Still feels a bit bad, but smiles anyway. Pride doesn't really play much of a part in why Gladio responded though, and sort of skips over the whole Blue Lead bit for the moment to what he feels is the more important point. Because he's actually really damn nervous of the whole thing!]

Still need to work out a few kinks, talk to a few people... Hold a meeting. It boils down to being organised. Much like you're suggesting. Ensuring the teams are supplied on the outset is one part. Making sure they know what to do and where to go during the mission and when things get dangerous is another. I'm hoping I can help mitigate some of the questions of "what can I do? Where can I go? How can I help?" and keep people safe on top of that.

... Starting with finding out just what my team is capable of. [A grin.] Something like that. To start.

[ Ssssh, he's just proud. And happy! He crosses his arms. ]

Is this a call for a pool of volunteers? If it is, then count me in. Personally, I don't really have a long wishlist, so you can have whatever points I've earned in a month to get a supply of universal field rations and first-aid kits ready for distribution. [ Roland looks up for a moment, in thought. ] Maybe flares for emergencies too. Glow sticks, battery-powered lanterns, whistles...[ Someone's inspired from the mission underground! And he's recalling his own experience with emergency preparedness from back home. ]

[ Tidus is nodding at that, particularly at the end. ]

Mm! I think some of us feel confused 'cause a lot of fighting does come up, but there's more than that to think about. But I know some magic and how to fight, so it's never something I get frustrated about.

[ Just other things. ]

But, I was on Red Team this time, and supplies were pretty low--so I think if whoever cooks or knows about what's good and what keeps for trips, some people can do that before a mission? And maybe there's other stuff too.

[ He's been brainstorming some, and his ideas are sorta all over the place, between talking to Gladio and what he was already thinking about. ]

It'd be good to know what people on Black Squad can do too, right? Since we can jump around--in case you need any of us. Think it's worth you other teams knowing? [ Would Miss Webs be down for that... ]

[ Pfft. ] Light brought this up before. I'm just expanding it!

[ He guesses. But really, back to the less embarrassing points. ]

Lemme list those down... [ He's even got his notebook out, folded, pencil ready! ] So... glow sticks, lanterns, whistles... what else did you say? I'll take down a list of anything. And do with the help buying them. Don't know how many points I'm gonna get when they come in.

Honestly? ... I kind of think it'd be a good idea if all the team leads did something like this. [Because he is honestly surprised it hasn't happened yet, though he figured he could blame it on just how many people some teams had. It was a much easier task when Blue Team was so small.]

It'd be an idea to assign a few people from each time to handle supplies like food. Cooking and sharing out that food to the teams.

[Idly rubs the back of his neck and laughs a bit then.]

Can't say I know much about this 'Black Squad'. But it would be nice to know. My team is small... sometimes help might be good. [But if his perfectly laid plans were messed up by people randomly jumping in that didn't understand the way his team worked would bother him to no end.] ... Transparency between the teams would be the ideal here.

Sure! I think everyone should be talkin' to everyone. I've never been on my own team--my first mission was with Blue. [ He admits with a shrug. ] I can always tell you what I do since you might be stuck with me.

[ Fondly said, but hey, it's true. He picks the mission by the objective, not the colour. ...but Blue and Red do get priority from him. ]

I know one of the Team Leads I spoke to didn't wanna risk buying things in case they disappeared, but I got a bunch of elixirs before last mission. I'm getting more in. I don't mind risking my points since I don't get anything but snacks once in a while.

[ And people on board make enough sweets as it is, soooo. ]

Me and Light have been looking into stuff like heals and protective items. --Lightning, [ he corrects. ] She's in Red.

[ He can't believe his little gamble to bet him who gets the most points paid off. He's so active now. WE REALLY LOVE TO SEE IT, KID. ]

Apart from general items usually packed in emergency bags, that's all I can think of for now. [ He dons his thinking cap again. ] Although, if we referred back to previous missions, we could reverse engineer what should have been vital supplies during those particular events. Backtrack and note down the what-if's.

[ ... ] You think the train can give us a box of Swiss army knives? [ Fat chance, but he'll say it out loud anyway. You never know! ]

Noct's been doing the same for our team with energy drinks. [Gladio chuckled and glanced off to the side again for a moment, before turning back to Tidus.] And will continue to do that.

I don't think items you buy disappear? But the energy drinks are cheap enough to get if you ever need extras, I'm sure Noct won't mind giving them a boost.

And, for what it's worth, sure... I welcome anyone to Blue. Maybe drop by the meeting later and we can have a chat? I hear Madoka's planning on making cookies!

[ Oh, bringing up points like that, are you Roland? ]

I haven't forgotten our bet! You better get ready to spend everything you got!

[ He's joking, but also, he doesn't actually remember what the win was for their bet other than "who gets the most points wins".... ]

We can risk the knives, but uh...is there somethin' special about them? Also- [ as a quick aside- ] You think you can tell that guy speakin' to me now from Blue Team about Black Squad? You'd know better than me.

[ Tidus you're a part of Black Squad. GO DO IT ANYWAY ROLAND. you have permission to tag them. ]

Oh yeah, Light recruited him too. I got more energy drinks for him to have fun with once they come in. We wanna see if buying them in a bulk'll give us more than the train.

[ Since if the points are worth it...! Might as well,right? ]

And yeah, sure, I can come over. But I don't think the idea 'bout us all speaking as a group than just teams is bad either. You Team Leads should talk to each other and share some ideas! And with the rest of us too. We got people from all over who have some good ideas I bet.

[Another look to the side, this time Gladio sighed and rolled his eyes before looking back at the ICP]

I'll try and grab some myself, if I can... But I might have another idea. At least this time around. Just need to speak to a certain person first...

I agree with you. But being the new Leads, I think it's down to the others to come to that conclusion themselves. [Gladio didn't want to seem like some snot-nosed upstart trying to horn in on everyone's action.] But I definitely agree. Keeping people in the loop is key. Or, at least, everyone knowing what the hell they're supposed to do during these missions and now to help is key. [Because so far it seemed like a cash grab with most just doing what they could with little organisation.]

[ He isn't even trying to hide his amusement. There was no losing consequence. He was just so gung-ho trying to one up the old man that he forgot to ask what the stakes were. But Roland's not about to say a word to Tidus, just basking in the proactive spirit of helping out the community. La lala. ]

[ Roland knows he's probably going to have to eat his words, but that's not gonna stop him from egging him on. No sir. ] Oh, it's a multitool pocket knife. Can get you out of a lot of sticky situations, from suddenly needing to open a corked bottle to using a screwdriver to open or close panels and ports. I had one back home. And, what are you talking about? [ He quirks an eyebrow at him. TIDUS, REALLY. ] You joined the Black Squad too, you listened in on the briefing!

[ TIDUS, REALLY??? The youth!!! *shakes fist* He will!! ]

[ ....??? Tidus doesn't know what to think about that side look, but uhh. ]

Well, I'm still willing to try do what I can outside of whatever else is going on. We can't cover everything, but there's gotta be some basics we can.

If you think of anything you need help buying... I was talking to someone before. I think having a list of things some of us ca try buying if we have the points isn't bad.

Food and drink are a good thing to take but... considering how long we are off the train for, the number of people usually on missions you would probably need to figure out how much to take and then the question of how to carry it.

I am saying that because of how much I eat in one day would be around...Five days worth or more for a normal person. So it's something to take into account.

Yeahhhhhhhh, [ yeahhhh he listened in on the briefing, ] but you and Misa are the ones who spoke up about it with Webweaver! You should talk about it! You're the one who likes organisation and knowing everything.
