[ Always a video with this guy and as he normally does, he fixes his bow tie. ]

Hullo! Not seeing any sign otherwise so I think it's safe to assume we're all back safe and sound. Which is excellent-however this last mission I think took a lot more than normal for everyone so if you were injured, feeling a little more fatigued or just generally off then I'd like you to come by the medical carriage for a quick check up!

I'm very good at it and I promise it won't take but a tick and you can get back to whatever else it is you do on the train.

Just let me know if you're coming and I'll make time.

Oh, I should probably mention, for those that don't know-I'm the Doctor.

[ And the video feed shows Ifrit - demon horns made of black stone, but otherwise mostly normal human looking. If the Doctor has been teaching classes to the kids and such, then he probably recognizes her. ]

Oi, I thought you were more of a "make stuff" Doctor than a white coat Doctor. Which one is it?

Is there a reason I can't be both? I'm a Doctor of Everything-of everyone. Hence why I'm called The Doctor. Leads to a very busy life.

Eeeeh, is becoming a doctor really that easy?

[ Sure, she might sound condescending, but really it's because the only person she knows that does both is her mother figure, Silence. It's hard to compare other people to Silence because Silence is better than everybody else, you know? ]

Well, no. But I do have quite a bit of experience in all fields-plus I'm a Timelord and that gives me a bit of an unfair advantage, I'll admit.

But who cares! I can still do both and much more-that's the important part. So, should I put you down for a check up?

[For the most part, Nita has been Out Of It since coming back on the train, but she does manage to catch this post and say:]

Yeah, sure I guess. Probably due for one anyway, since I used t' get 'em every day and now it's been like, a month, month and a half.

[ That's interesting and he should have asked this much, much sooner. ]

Every day? Why? Do you have some sort of condition I should know about?

Yeah, of course. I'm absolutely sorted. But you're sounding a little defensive there, Nita. Are you sure you don't need a quick check up?

Yeah, oripathy. I already gave that info to, uh.... some pointy-ear guy, he said he would pass it along to the medics. So I'm not explaining it all again.

It's probably fine anyway. Nita said it wasn't "progressing."

[ The paper Ifrit wrote on it is here if the Doctor would have seen it. It was supposedly passed to a Wen who may or may not have shown other medic-types idk. ]

[Nita's feed is audio, otherwise the Doctor could see her roll her eyes.]

I'm sure. Worst I got on-world has healed already; no broken bones or anything.

Just exhaustion.

[ The word sounds familiar and he moves off screen to go through a bunch of papers in a desk. ]

Ah, yes. I should think you're well passed time for a check up. As I said, I've got time now, so come on by and I'll see what I can do. You haven't experienced any pain recently have you? I'll want to find something to help with that immediately.

No need to be so snippy, Nita. I'm only concerned about you.

Spark saw the network post and nearly jumped out of his fur. He didn't bother replying, he ran for the medical carriage and then the small orange cat skidded to a stop at the feet of the Doctor, staring up at him wide eyed.

Okay, so he didn't know this face, but he recognized it, he'd seen the image before. And now that he was here... yes. The scent was a little off what he expected, but it was close enough.

It was him. It was the Doctor! He tried to remember the mural, remember the order. This was the one after... After Ten. He would not cry. Cats did not cry. They didn't. That was why he had another form. Or rather, mostly what he used his human form for in the absence of Adrien or Nino... or Rose or the Doctor.

Did he stay and talk to him as Spark? Did he go off and change where no one could see him and come back as Gar? What should he do?

Nita remembered him. But the De Nile kid and that Zelda girl didn't. What would he do if the Doctor didn't remember him? He wasn't sure.

Hesitating, the small orange cat was unaware that he was sitting frozen staring up at the man for quite as long as he was....

[Nita sighs.]

I'll be fine once I've rested, in all likelihood.

[At least she's not hangry as well?]

... Did you bring anything back from Terra, by any chance? Even just pictures.

I stayed on the train.

No.

Well, maybe some wires and things from the lab but not much.

Anyway, come talk to me after your nap. A quick check up can't hurt.

I snatched some pain meds for whenever it flares up, but if you've got something stronger I won't say no.

Not sure how long the nap will be, but sure.

... Dair might be interested in what you do with those wires, though.

[With the added bonus of not being nearly as exhausted as her sister.]

Oh. Well, that's a cat. He did say he could give check ups and that wouldn't not extend to a cat. Alright then.

"Yes, hello. You seem a bit over excited-oh, are you alright?"

Well that wasn't a voice he knew, but he expected that. Nine and three sounded nothing at all alike, after all. But part of him had been hoping that whatever the voice, it would have been saying his name.

He hopped up onto an exam table so that he could be closer to eye level. His shoulders hunched slightly as he studied that new face. "Do you remember me, Doctor?" he asked, trying not to sound as vulnerable as he felt. But he knew this was the face after Ten if the mural was correct, and Ten was one of the four people in all of Nautilus to know all of his secrets. Ten, Rose, Adrien, Nino. That was it. The only people he could be every bit of himself with.

The Doctor had to remember him. Had to.

Right?

Oh! Good for you! One less person for me to have to worry about.

That doesn't mean you don't get a check up though-you're do for another. Come by in about erm... thirty minutes?

I dunno. I'll have to get more information before I can make that determination.

Would you be open to a few tests?

[Crowley doesn't know enough about medicine to have properly helped the woman he saved from her fall in the caves, but if this man is a doctor, it's probably a good thing he's on board. Perhaps worthy of a response, even, which is something quite rare from the demon unless he's truly feeling up to something.]

Do you have room for another? She might have made her way to you by now, but I'd be surprised if it was without help.
