Hey! Hey Train People- er- Void Treckerians- er - Dudes!

[He waves and gives the ICP a big smile.]

I know some of you sometimes buy random books at the end of the month and I don't have any points- well I have ten, but I'm hoping to buy something for someone.

[He pauses, realizing how that might sound. However, he was on a mission, so he pushes himself to keep going.]

Would anyone be willing to buy a book on chocobos? Pretty please! It can be for the train library and not just for me! Please! Not enough people know about how awesome chocobos are or worse, don't even know what they are!

[This is a horrifying concept clearly, given his expression.]

Anyway, thanks for listening and keep rocking all.

[It doesn't take long for Noctis to show up after Prompto does, since he was only a few sleeper cars away. He hasn't been in the dressing car a ton of times yet, but he's pretty sure he's got the right car.

He hesitates before entering it because the response he made on the ICP was 'voice' and he's not sure who exactly Prompto thought he was.]

I'm here, what's up?

[He doesn't hear movement that would indicate Prompto's nearby, so he goes looking for him, hoping the blond isn't watching and judging. After a minute, his hand finds one of the dressing room curtains and he grabs onto it as an anchor.]

[It was so hard to keep the giggles down. He wasn't really watching Noct so much as hearing him. He heard the curtain ruffle and crouched, getting ready.

As the curtain opened, he pounced with a peal of laughter. He made a silent promise to kiss that tushy if this ended up bruising it. After landing on the floor, he laughed and then planted a kiss on his boyfriend's lips.]

[He might have to, because Noct was in no way prepared to be tackled and goes down like it's nothing. At least Prompto's not too heavy.]

[And then there's lips on his and he can totally deal with this and play along, returning the kiss and wincing internally as he moves an arm to loop around Prompto's neck.]

[He hummed a pleased, happy note when he feels his kiss being returned. The arm going around him felt normal and the firm body underneath him did too. He just.. there was something that didn't feel quite right.

Oh well, it was probably nothing.

After indulging in a nice long kiss, he finally draws back. He was practically purring.]

Sorry, buddy. Been thinking about you all day.

[It was pretty nice, even if he's not actually Prompto's boyfriend. He may not be purring, but he looks a bit pinker when they pull away from each other.]

Doubt it. Not me anyway.

[It's a good thing that Prompto talks a lot, because it gives him a good reference on where to look to attempt eye contact. It sort of works, except he's looking more at Prompto's eyebrows.]

I'd say I'm sorry but I'm not.

Huh?

[What was he-]

Oh shit!

[He jerked back and scrambled to his feet. At least he hadn't said that thing about his chocobo underwear!]

You're not.. oh god, but you.. wait so.. crap! I'm sorry! I thought you were.. I mean, obviously but like.. I'm not trying to say anything bad about you, of course, just you're not Noct. Er, I mean, you are but not..

[He took a breath and then offered his hand. The least he could do was help the guy up. He tried to remember if any butt grabbing had happened, but he was almost sure he'd behaved himself at least that much.]

I'm sorry.

[Not that he would have thought Prompto mentioning chocobo underwear was at all weird or out of place for him.

He's grinning faintly as Prompto babbles, relieved that he seems to be taking the news a lot better than Gladio did.]

Dude, calm down. I'm not your Noct, I know.

[Unfortunately, he misses Prompto's hand until he goes to pull himself off the floor and smacks it in the process.] Huh? [And a couple seconds of fumbling later, he does grab it.]

I bet I'm going to be pissed at you if I find out later.

[Says what's probably the strangest sentence he's ever spoken.]

Oops! I forgot Gladio said you were um.. you lost your uh..

[He needed to stop putting his foot in his mouth or he was getting athlete's foot.]

Yeah, probably not. Dude, you totally kissed me back! What's up with that?

Eyesight, yeah.

[And he can't see, but watch as he skillfully dodges the question anyway.]

Nothing's up with that. You started it, I went along with it.

[He rubbed the back of his neck nervous for some reason, he couldn't figure out.]

Hey so.. you.. this is super weird. I mean, you look just like him. Do I look like the Prompto you know? Wait.. is there a Prompto in your world?

'Course there's a Prompto in my world. One I'm pretty sure I'd be dead without.

I don't know what you look like, but you sound just like him. If you're skinny, blond, and have freckles everywhere, then you look like him, too.

[He could always go for the 'feel the face' method of things, but that feels so weird.]

[For whatever reason it made him happy to hear there was another one of him watching out for his buddy Noct.]

Yeah, except you left off 'incredibly handsome' and 'the best bud a guy could ask for'! Are you two like crazy in love with each other but being stubborn and clueless about admitting it to each other too?

We're...not, no. You get into Gladio's novels or something?

[Admit to a crush? Nah, he has work to do at home and here...just nah. This suddenly just got a bit complicated because clearly Prompto and the other Noctis are a Thing.]

He's still after Cindy.

[That was hilarious! He never thought to ask what the books were about.

Although he suddenly wanted to melt and swoon.]

Cindy... she's a goddess.

[They're not all romance novels, but there are some in the man's personal library, Noct is sure of it.]

[If Prompto isn't swooning already, Noct is very surprised.]

[Rather than just ask the first question that popped to her mind, Samata actually listened to what everyone else was saying.]

[The word was out before he could stop himself. Although really, was it wrong to say your boyfriend was cute even if you were saying it to someone who was him, but wasn't him, all in one? This doppleganger thing was nuts.]

Beats me. I never found out what happened to him.

[Just that he was 'supposed' to lose his sight.]

Ardyn happened to me. Don't know why, but knowing him, he thought it'd be funny. I think it was a Fire spell...

I hate that guy.

[His voice dropped to a hard, bitter tone that wasn't normal for him.]

But I heard there's an Ardyn on board who might not be the one from my reality too. I don't know what to think about that but..

[He frowned, looking at Noct's unseeing eyes.]

You know, we really need to come up with a collective name for ourselves.

And chocobos, huh? You mean they're real where you come from?

I believe Voidtreckers is the correct term.

This is Voidtrecker Express after all. So it's only natural that people aboard would be Voidtreckers. Though someone could argue that something more descriptive than a pure genitive case of a noun would be more suitable as simply traveling through the Void is not everything we do so to call ourselves after the means of transportation is a little reductive... [Blink. Err...] but I digress.

[Make yourself a favor, Prompto. Never call him dude.]

I see the main problem has been resolved. I do, however, wonder what is so special about those birds?

So I'm sure by now the questions' been asked ad infinitum, but... what's a Chocobo?

[ Asks what could be a Chocobo in other lifetime. ]

[They declared a truce for as long as they were both here, and so far, Ardyn's honored it.]
