As I understand it, the purpose of the 'challenge' is to get us to purchase bears to comfort the younger passengers when they arrive. I'm donating my time to create some stuffed bear reserves....but I'll gladly put extra time in in the kitchen. I realize that keeping everyone fed is more important, of course.

The bear donation isn't the issue. It's a very kind gesture that I support wholeheartedly.

It's this absurd 'ice bucket' challenge that's the problem.

I suppose this might be construed as a different task, perhaps, but those who do not cook could always help clean the kitchen and dining room? Then again, the punishment should fit the crime. Perhaps we ought to think of something more. Though perhaps that is overkill?
