Attention Voidtreckers and Passengers of the Voidtrecker Express. Please direct your attention to this missive sent to us by a representative of the Void Ministry.
[A video begins to play. It shows a blue skinned creature with a head of white horns sat behind an official looking desk. They look into the camera with a neutral and not unpleasant demeanour.]
Voidtreckers. I am Minister Bhra'ik'no and the lead judge on the committee that discussed your case this last void month. I have read testimonies from many of you, studied the detailed report delivered by Minister Ten-Nank and heard the testimony of Voidscout Anan and her crew. We have also done impact reports of some of the systems that were noted as systems you have visited as void missionaries.
There is also some early scouting of the systems you hail from though that is a longer investigation and not something I can go into detail of at this moment.
As Ten-Nank explained in their missive, the two differentiating thoughts about your journey through the void by the early discussions of the committee were that you should be detained for your own safety whilst we figure a way for you to return to your homes, or that you should be allowed to continue as you are, but with a higher oversight by the ministry which would include being given our aid when it was needed.
After reading the reports and hearing the testimonies, we concluded that as you have worked successfully as a void mission craft for over one void year, and there is no reason for us to prevent you from continuing. We have concerns for your tethers and your health and Minister Ten-Nank has given you reading material about those subjects. However we do not believe that you are in any danger that we could prevent by detaining you.
We understand that trust between us has been strained which is why we would like to offer our assistance and invite you to take part in one of our centralised missions. You will be paired with some ministry void missionaries on an unstable system that we are caretakers of, and they will assist you with equipment and expertise. Your time and organisation will be your own- we are not expecting you to work for us, only with us.
The task is one we could use help with from a large missionary craft such as yourselves, and our hope is that it will foster better relations between us. We have sent coordinates to your craft- we hope that you will join us in this.
[They bare their teeth at the camera, in what is probably a form of smile and then the missive ends. The train speaks a moment later.]
I understand that voidtreckers feel that the void ministry can help us, that we should communicate and work with them. The voidtrecker express trusts the judgement of its crew. I shall take us to system #281992471
