[ He makes a sound - one of his many disgruntled and frustrated ones, before he shakes his head with a 'why do I bother' muttered under his breath, taking his ticket.

He'll be back tomorrow, train. ]

[ He's sitting in bed with the ICP up, remembering his whole try to engage with the train more plan. A tactic he's been trying since he arrived on the train, for one reason or another: to help people be safer, to be honest about his issues, to try and help. To try and get it to say more, getting it to, and then returning to silence once more.

And now it's the start of that all over again, or so it feels like. No straight answers. A dumb feedback message.

He's not even sure if he's going to speak, when engaging with the train seems pointless.

But then it comes, a thought that spills out as it's made: ]

Do you ever feel like you're going in circles? You're trying to search for an answer or reason, but you can never get it. Everything's just the same day in, day out, 'cept you know that one day, it's all going to end. And you're never gonna find what you're looking for.

Do you think I'd be happy if I left? It's not dying that scares me - it's leaving my friends. It's not knowing if they'd find their way back, that none of this stopped. That they got stuck for years with you being the same way, and everyone struggling to help you.

What's the point of even trying?

Look, I'm pretty pissed off that for all I know you are running a kidnapping ring, but I do appreciate that it's given me what I have wanted for so long. If you could have asked me, I probably would have said yes.

If there actually is a Voidtrecker Express II or a III that existed at one point, that's not just a fictional thing, then could you give us some info on them. If there were people from worlds that still out there for contact that crewed them. If there might be veterans we can call on or journalists who covered missions in the past. I don't know what to ask for and we might need someone to advocate for us one day.

Breakdown: you run scared, don't speak with us. We need words. If it's in the stories you share of your earlier crew's logs, if it's you speaking over the speakers, if it's taking questions from us, talk. Do you have any idea how frightening you are?

You run scared from the Ministry. Fine. Whatever. We don't even have the choice to run scared from you. Missing your crew, wanting them back, being desperate for it, fine.

You're scary. People pulled onboard are also scary. And we can't escape either one of you.

Second level for the greenhouse carriage. Please give us places to grow more things. I'm not saying this because I'm a great grower or gardener or farmer or anything, but we have training with greens and gardens, and the vegetarians by preference or need is important.

Chickens would be good too. Eggs, and all. So only hens, no roosters, unless you want more chickens, and I think the hens need to be young to be good layers.

Why do you have a store, anyway? How does that functionally work? What do points mean? Where do those trade that you can create or summon these things 'ordered' and have them show up when you restock? None of these are important, but it bothers me, the not knowing.

Here's a real question. Have we ever run out of water?

Your last crew believed in you and did something dangerous. You're looking for them even now.

System numbers. Can we get system numbers, can you tell us if they exist for you or for everyone? You realise that's what the Ministry Investigator people offered to me that they reneged on like jackasses, the ability to scan us for systems so we could see what they were or if they existed, okay.

I want to know this version of my best friend didn't leave to be nothing, in a place only we remember. We all want to know the people we care about are okay. If you don't know, and that's what Inigo's said you told him, then say that too. But find some way to check those system numbers, find some way to figure out if your tether's still connected in a way to say these people are out there, because they're our crew, not just your disposable one trying to get the right crew back. And this all feels like we're disposable to you.

Anyway, rejoice, I'm putting my points where my mouth is and getting myself a whole larger bed for a week. I repeat, everyone deserves more space on their bunks. Doesn't need to be this big for one person, but longer, a little wider. Larger rooms since you keep rearranging spaces without talking to anyone anyway. You're redesigning yourself all the time. Consider making it more than barely passing to those of us trapped in here.

Also, still no sweets on pillows. Also, we were all soaking with that downpour. Please try adding weather warnings to our stops? Or at the least hold the doors for long enough we can get coats, it's not like the people leaving notice, not like Wen Sizhui noticed, but the rest of us sure as hell did. You want us being your heroes? Finding your crew? Then help keep us healthy. Cold platforms and rainstorms and things like that don't help when we're all underprepared.
