[This message comes from cabin upper 1B and is just a voice message.
This catboy may or may not be sending this from one of the bunks.]
I'm bored. Pray tell me, denizens of the train, if you could have any food appear to you right this instant, what would you choose? If you could only eat one food for the rest of your life, what would you choose?
Me, I would pick dzo buuz.

...That sounds wonderful. What type of steak?

Feeling the cabin fever K'zeha? Dzo buuz does sound absolutely bloody fantastic right now.
I think the first dish I would pick the Bismark's tarte au citron.

[He is suffering, save him.]
Oh! I haven't had that one in a long while! Delicious and...relatively kind to one's coinpurse.

[As if on cue, Zagreus pops the last of the octopus sashimi he was eating into his mouth, and chews while waiting for the answer.]

video;
[Didn't even have to think about it really.]

One of those. I miss those. In my world we're stuck to birds and fish. [Because they weren't affected by the virus.]

Mum's a culinarian at the Bismark, so I have cultivated the unique ability to dispose of failed food creations
'Tis a hard lot in life.
Oh! In your version of Limsa is there a sorbet stall near the aetheryte?

[His cheeks burn bright with embarrassment. Hopefully said Persephone is not listening!]
But if it's a whole meal, then that for dessert... and before dessert, a bottle of ambrosia, a gyro, and thin fried potatoes. I think they're called "fries"?

Oh, oh, and a DIY candy kit. The ones you mix with water. One of those too. [He loved those.
As for only one food, hmmm.] One food? Ah... snacks? [That counts, right? Whatever, he's going to pretend it does.]
Re: video;
[That might not be entirely the right word for them, but it's close?]

Cheese...noodles? How are they instant? How do you make candy with just water?
[Is there such a thing as culinary sorcery?]
no subject
Gyro?

Also K'zeka clearly need to be enlightened into DIY candy kits.] It's not just water, but you need water to make them. You get a pack with molds and powdered candy mixes, which you mix with water than push into the molds and make them look like other items. Like sushi, or hamburgers, or little cakes. [They're also amazing.]

...Might I ask what happened to the larger animals?

[He's kidding. Mostly.]
No...there are two confectionery stands, though.

[At least for the purposes of this hypothetical.]

...Man, the ocean must be extra nightmarish now if there are zombie whales. [He shudders. He didn't come across any, not even in Zona which was located in Hawaii. But man is that a mortifying idea.]

[It also doesn't help when you have a cloistered upbringing with a bunch of gods who don't have to eat.]
So a gyro, right, it's got this thin bread-like stuff, that's fried in a pan, I think. And then on top of that you put on this white sauce that's a little salty, a little sour, and with little bits of... green? Is green a flavor? And then you put lettuce and tomatoes and onion on, and then you add this seasoned meat, which... I don't know what kind it is, to be honest, I just sort of eat them when the Wretches drop them, or when Charon is selling them. But it's really good, I promise it is!

What's in that dish you mentioned, dzo buuz? And what exactly is it?
no subject
[He gave Kyoko that many, it's only fair to give the other kid that many.]

[Green is absolutely a flavor. Also don't mind that he's chuckling just a little in his response.]

... well, it's folded over like one, I suppose? But it doesn't have any eggs in it. Unless you need eggs to make the pita? That's the bread stuff everything goes in.
[Guess who is just learning how to cook things on the Train. Who needs to know how to cook on your home world when you have a Head Chef ghost living in your kitchen?]

[K'zeka's still giving voice responses, so Zagreus doesn't get to see his own mismatched squint back.]
'Tis a sandwich, then.
no subject
[Squinting intensifies]
Wha- no, it's not two pieces of bread with stuff in the middle, it's one piece of flat bread, and the sides are folded around the stuff in the middle, and it's wrapped in foil. It's not like any sandwich I've heard of.
[He in fact knows three: peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, grilled cheese sandwiches, and yaddon tail sandwiches. All of those have two pieces of bread!]
video
'Tis still a sandwich if it has bread and filling. Or a pie.
[Well, bread and whatever foil is. Is foil a food?]

I shall need to buy some of the sorbet for you to try, it is divine.
