Ugh, I was gonna do this earlier, but... It's not like it's easy to talk about, and then that whole trap mission thing happened... so... Better late than never.
[Here, her tone changes, going from grumbling to something more practiced. There's a distinct blasé attitude best delivered from a Tough Teenager (tm).]
I'm Kyoko Sakura, from Purple Team. Last mission -- well. Not the one you guys just got back from -- I was stuck on the train -- The one with the birds and the talking statues and all. A problem came up and I've been meaning to bring it up once we all got back. A... personal problem. A magical one.
So. If you have any experience dealing with magical impurities -- curses -- negative energy -- soul magic -- purification magic -- that kind of thing? I wanna talk.
The short version of the story is this: When I use my magic, my soul -- which isn't in my body, but my Soul Gem -- gathers impurities. More impurities, less magic for me to use. And if I gather too many, I'll turn into a monster and try to eat everyone. Or something like that, anyway. Look, I said it was the short version.
If you knew Mami Tomoe, or know the Kyoko on Blue Team, you probably know what I'm talking about. But when Mami -- left -- [She didn't falter there, she doesn't know what you're talking about.] She took with her the method I was using to purify my Soul Gem. And, yeah, there's a way to do it back home, but I dunno if I can order it from the train, and even if I could, it'd be a bad idea. Unless you want monsters showing up on the train trying to eat people. 'Cause that would be what happened if I filled 'em up and didn't have anything else to do with 'em.
I've got a friend, and met a couple more people, who can help me out as it is right now. But I already put all my eggs in one basket once with this and got screwed. [There may or may not be some bitterness in her voice there.] So I'm looking for more options. If you're interested, speak up, or, I guess, come find me in the standard coach. I'll be hangin' out there for a bit.

(And she can't help but think that Yondu should be grateful he didn't end up on Orange Team. This guy isn't as blue as him, but wow. What a color combination.)]
Yeah, that's me. [She picks up a bag of chips, shakes it around a little, and grabs a couple to pop in her mouth. She continues answering questions while chewing.] That's right. They don't go away on their own. If they did, I wouldn't have as much to worry about.
[She'd still have to worry, in cases where she'd be using more magic than was going away naturally, but for everyday living, it wouldn't be as big a deal.
After a pause, she tilts the bag towards Blue-and-Orange.] Want some? [He seems tense. Snacks are good for that.]

As for the lack of small talk, it's both a mix of not liking to talk to others, and his brain already full of questions about this all. Could it be something that could cross over with the symptoms of Over Blotting? Could her issue be 'solved' like it would back home? Could he learn something from her that could work against blotting? Lots of questions.] How do you normally manage it then, you mentioned something about monsters. Do they have something they contain you need, [Oh, Idia back tracking a moment to realize what else she may mean. Oh... His tone softer than before, if that was even possible.] Or that you're a risk of turning into one if the gem is fully filled?
[The offer catches him off guard for a moment, shocked she would offer, and really would like some, but...] You're not going to pull it away at the last moment, are you? [Because that's something that's likely to happen, trying to trick him and play nice only to turn it into a joke at his expense. It wouldn't surprise Idia at all.]
