Why do they sing so much in the movie?

[ Inigo isn't even sceptical as he glances over at Demyx.

He just sounds a little confused - or perhaps just curious. He's seen a few movies by now, and he only just thought he grasped the concept of them. But said concept didn't involve thinking about movies where people sing a lot! ]
