Depends on who's usin' 'em an' why. They ain't inherently bad. Just strong. Like any other tool that bends and breaks somethin'. Depends on the person' wieldin' it.

An' Ego... Well, Ego was just another world. Nobody was really from him but him. God this all sounds complicated as shit. But yeah, it was my adopted boy. And he did good fightin' Ego and protectin' Xandar. I'm real proud of how he turned out.
