"They were still your parents, real family or not! But it's okay, you know? To go, 'You didn't give me what I wanted' or 'You didn't get me, but I was still a person' but -- for things not to be that simple either," Tidus assures. "I mean...maybe I was too soft as a kid. Too much of a baby. But I... I still wish he understood me better," Tidus admits quietly. "So I got to have better memories."

Is that selfish? There was no point in wishing for a better past, but recognising it could have been better, laying flowers for the regrets once in a while - a once in a while that grows more distant over time...
