Lagos is still chattering angrily as the pillow returns to its proper place. Good! He never should've taken it in the first place! What was he thinking-

Lagos is a bit wrongfooted, but he continues on. You're tired and you need to rest, and he was taking your only pillow! You shouldn't have to sit on the floor-
"Lagos," he says again, gently resting his hand on his companion. "It's okay. Thank you for looking out for me." Lagos quiets down, and Ryo carefully sits down on his pillow next to the puppy-
Not carefully enough, it seems - he overbalances, sits harder than he'd wanted, and some of the tea sloshes out of his cup and onto the floor. He stares at it for a moment as his brain quietly refuses to comprehend it, then sets his mug down. He...he needs to get up and take care of that before someone slips. He honestly doesn't know if he can get up again.
He reaches over and gently pets the puppy's head. "It's okay," he says, voice soft. "I'm not mad, I promise." He pets the puppy for a few moments more as his exhausted brain slowly works. "Do you know of anyone who can help with that?" Chthonic Companions are smart, and this one can move. Maybe he can find help.
