I generally don't bother with reassurances because no one gives them to me first. It's always a case of, 'Don't worry, I won't attack you unless you're bad' once people learn what I am. Sometimes with a gun pointed at me. Not a 'Don't worry, it's safe here.'
Both usually end up lies, anyway.
